Lecture Method

-One way communication

Discussion Method- exchange ideas or a conversation or debate with specific ideas: Analysis and
evaluation

Case Study: student learning a process of information analysis

Simulation-model so that student can understand further

Integration- For instance, topics learned in Math or Social Studies may be used by the pupils with
related concepts and skills in Reading and Language.

*Listening- essential skill use to communicate

Bottom up Approach

-uses information about the sound and words or attempt to make sense of the language sound by sound
or word by word, with less use of background knowledge.

-it rely on the language in the message

Examp: recognize word by word,listen to specific details, word-order pattern

Top-down- use background knowledge of the topic to make sense what she or he listen to.

-the listener know some topic to relate a story or information

Exam: summarizing, taking down notes, listening from main idea

Example: let them read it first
