altering the gallery or venue space to give viewers a certain experience.

The purpose of immersive art

- Using technologies like virtual reality (VR), holography, and digital projection, immersive art
experiences let spectators inhabit the artwork and take on the role of the protagonist. You enter

SITE – SPECIFIC

- The term "site-specific" or "environmental art" refers to an artist's intervention in a particular
location, the creation of a work that is integrated with its surroundings and that explores its
relationship to the topography of its locale, whether indoors or out, urban, desert, marine, or
otherwise.

Site-specific theater aims to enhance a theatrical play by utilizing the features of a particular site's
landscape as opposed to a standard theater stage. Locations are chosen for theatrical productions based
on their capacity to enhance storytelling and provide a more vivid backdrop for the players.

Or lets say

Performing arts may include dance, music, opera, theatre and musical

theatre, magic, illusion, mime, spoken word, puppetry, circus arts, stand up
comedy, improv,and professional wrestling.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………….

 Art in which the medium is the artist's own body and the artwork takes the form of
actions performed by the artist or other participants.

So when we say performance art

-It is a body movement
-Performance art is art that has to acted out live infront of an audience
-Performace art is the body

 Art that could not be bought, sold or traded as a commodity.

Ang sabi dito kahit anong gawin mo na ibenta, ipahiram, ipahingi o ipagpalit ang
performace art mo hinding hindi ito mang yayari. Bakit? Kasi galing mismo yan sayo
example sa wrestling or lets say sports basketball, valleyball or football yang mga iyan
kong alam mo iyan at nalalaro mo hinding hindi mo iyan pwede ipahiram yang talent mo
hinding hindi mo maipapamigay iyan.

 May be live or recorded, spontaneous or scripted

Mga likhang sining na nilikha sa pamamagitan ng mga aksyon na ginawa ng artist o iba pang
kalahok

 "Performance" and "Performance art" only became popularly used in the 1970s.
 -The history of performance in the visual arts could be traced back to the futurist
productions and dada cabarets of the 1910s. it is lively and temporary with physical
movement, it offered artists alternatives to the stationary permanence of painting
and sculpture.

………………………………………………………………………………………………..

1.) Performance Art is a legitimate artistic movement

-Performance has a lengthy history (some performance artists actually have

substantial body of work), and many post-secondary institutions offer it as a degree-
granting course of study.

2.) Performance Art is live

-This means that people have to be watching

-Performance Art is art that has to acted out live in front of an audience. This
means that people have to be watching. Usually paintings or sculptures are finished
while the artist is alone and are shown to others later, but Performance Art does not
work quite that way.
3.) Performance Art has no rules or guidelines.

It is art because the artist says it is art. It is experimental.

4.) Performance Art is not for sale.

-It may, however, sell admission tickets and film rights.

………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Performance art may be...

...comprised of painting, sculpture, dialogue, poetry, music, dance, film, footage, laser lights,
animals, fire, etc.

...entertaining, amusing, shocking, or horrifying. It is meant to be memorable.
