CONTESTS MECHANICS AND CRITERIA

MECHANICS AND CRITERIA

1. The competition is open to ALL GRADE LEVELS.

2. Each class shall have one to two representative/s who will show off his/her creativity
designing and/or dressing up with his/her/their favorite literary character.
3. Contestants are encouraged NOT to spend money on costumes, but rather be
“imaginative” in their creativity. They may use what is available at home.
4. The contestants shall participate in the contest during the culminating activity on
December 6, 2022, at 2:00 PM.
5. During the competition, contestants shall introduce their chosen character then shall
deliver a famous line of the character that they represent. They must NOT include their
name and section during the introduction.
6. Entries shall be evaluated based on the following criteria:
a. Characterization 40%
(Accuracy of character portrayal)
b. Creativity and Artistic Impression 30%
(Appropriateness of the costume)
c. Resemblance 20%
(Resemblance of costume, make-up, and accessories)
d. Resourcefulness 10%
(Resourcefulness of the materials used in the costume)

7. The first five highest scorers will be awarded during the Awarding and Closing
Ceremony.
8. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.
