Work Experience

Umpire, March 2018 - March 2021

Arden Little League , Sacramento, CA
I worked as an umpire for Arden Little League for 2-3 months of every year from 2018 to 2021. The
most important part of my job was to be extremely knowledgeable about the rules of the game so
I could be the most effective official possible. For every game I showed up 30-45 minutes early
so I could inspect the field and team equipment. Many of the games I officiated, I was paired with
younger and more inexperienced umpires. I communicated effectively with the other umpires to
ensure that the game ran smoothly and they were comfortable. When I was behind home plate
I had to enforce a strike zone. I had to make calls that were sometimes unclear, with no bias or
influence from the crowd. When coaches or players got angry, I would help calm them down with
little interference or disruption to the game.

SEVA Finalist Award , 2018
In my 5th grade class I created a video on the topic of Imagination for my Student Education Video
Awards Submission. I received a finalist award for my solo production.
