Terms of Definiton
Smartphones - A mobile phone that performs many of the functions of a computer, typically
having a touchscreen interface, internet access, and an operating system capable of running
downloaded applications.
Behavior - It is what a person does to make something happen, to make something change or
to keep things the same.
Parents - A father or mother; one who begets or one who gives birth to or nurtures and raises a
child; a relative who plays the role of guardian.
School - An organization that provides instruction: such as. : an institution for the teaching of
children, college, university.
Officials - A person holding public office or having official duties, especially as a representative of
an organization or government department.
Screen usage - The time allotted to or occupied by a particular subject, actor, etc., on film or
television.
Mental health issues - Refers to a wide range of mental health conditions — disorders that
affect your mood, thinking and behavior.
Digital Age - The period in which digital change through digitalization and digital transformation
has progressed so far that digital technologies have a formative influence on people's lives.
Crucial part - If you describe something as crucial, you mean it is extremely important.
Education - The act or process of imparting or acquiring general knowledge, developing the
powers of reasoning and judgment, and generally of preparing oneself or others intellectually for
mature life.
Learning aids - A learning aid is something intended to enhance learning and retention by the
learner. They may include, but are not limited to: written materials, visualizations, charts,
diagrams, processes, strategies, or any other appropriate item.
Reading - The action or skill of reading written or printed matter silently or aloud.
Professional learning - Teachers engage in professional learning to stimulate their thinking and
professional knowledge and to ensure that their practice is critically informed and current.
