State at least five problems that could arise from an addiction to gadgets and social media and
the need to feel connected at all times, write your suggestions on how one can avoid being a
“Gadget Addict”.

1. Distant Relationships
A social media addict will isolate themselves from family and friends and spend
the majority of their time in the virtual world.
2. Poor Eyesight
Too much exposure in gadgets that produces radiation can affect your vision.
3. Neglection of school or work
Many people who are addicted to social media sometimes disregard their
education or job obligations because they are unable to draw themselves away
from social media.
4. Lack of Sleep
As a result of losing track of time, people tend to have poor sleep quality, which
increases their risk of being ill.
5. Lose Interest in Physical Activities
As a social media consumes an increasing amount of time, it becomes the
primary focus of a person’s life. As a result, the addicted individual will spend the
majority of their time on social media and very little time performing the activities
they once enjoyed.
Suggestions:
Spend time with family
Utilize a timer to assist you in limiting your online time.
Explore different things such as travelling.
Limit social media apps from your phone.
Invest more in physical activities.
