GEOTHERMAL POWER PLANT


255 MW Darajat Power Plant

Darajat Geothermal Power Plant is a 255MW geothermal power project. It is located in West
Java, Indonesia. The project is currently active. It has been developed in multiple phases. Post
completion of construction, the project got commissioned in January 1994.

Description
The project was developed by Chevron Geothermal Indonesia. The project is currently owned
by AC Energy and Infrastructure with a stake of 19.8%, Electricity Generating Public and Star
Energy Geothermal Holdings.
The geothermal plant is of dry steam type.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in January 1994.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the Darajat Geothermal Power Plant (Darajat Phase III) is sold to PT
PLN (Persero) under a power purchase agreement.
Contractors Involved
Kanematsu, PT Thiess Contractors Indonesia and PT Tripatra Engineers and Constructors were
selected to render EPC services for the Darajat Geothermal Power Plant (Darajat Phase III).
Darajat Geothermal Power Plant (Darajat Phase I) is equipped with Mitsubishi Heavy
Industries turbines.
Darajat Geothermal Power Plant (Darajat Phase II) is equipped with Fuji Electric FA
Components & Systems turbines.
Darajat Geothermal Power Plant (Darajat Phase III) is equipped with Fuji Electric FA
Components & Systems turbine. The phase consists of 1 turbine with 110MW nameplate
capacity.
About Chevron Geothermal Indonesia
Chevron Geothermal Indonesia, Ltd. (Chevron Geothermal) is a power generation company,
based in Indonesia. It provides geothermal power generation services. The company provides
products and services in two segments that are consumer and commercial sector. The company’s
consumer products include Chevron, Texaco and Caltex, which are used fuel products. The
company’s services include gifts and credit cards such as business cards, credit cards, and gift
cards to purchase gas, snacks and services at Chevron and Texaco stations. Chevron Geothermal
provides commercial products such as lubricants, additives, jet fuels, base oil, and motor oil
among others. The company has a total geothermal generation capacity of 377 megawatts. It has
four projects in Indonesia and the Philippines. Chevron Geothermal is headquartered in
Bermuda, Indonesia.
