Questions to answer when reading the document (Take notes)

Who wrote it?

Who was the intended audience?

When was it written?

Interpret and explain

What was the author talking about? What were the main points expressed in their writing?
Use quotes from the author to justify your conclusions.

What was its impact? (You might need to do a little research)

What was happening at the time in history when this work was written?

After reviewing the primary source, in 600-1000 words explain your conclusions about the
author’s intent and rational for writing this document. Then explain how this document
changed people’s perception of an event, concept of social movement. Lastly, note what you
learned from this document that helped you better understand history.

Post your response on Thursday of the week it’s due.
