Executive Summary Day 1 started with the arrival of the participants, facilitators and
speakers. Cavite Cluster efficiently led the registration of the Regional
Orientation on ALIVE Curriculum and ALIVE MELCS for MADRASAH
Education Program. At exactly 10:30 in the morning, Orientation and
Briefing was held as well as a meeting for the Division Focal persons.
Opening Program was also held hosted by Ms. May A. Maala, School
ALIVE Coordinator of Tapia ES. The program was concluded through a
written message given by the CLMD Chief of DepEd IV A CALABARZON,
Sir Job S. Zape Jr.

Sir Rolando S. Cassanova , EPS of Batangas Province discussed the


status of the nationwide Implementation of MADRASAH Education
Program (MEP). From his presentation, total number of Muslim learners
nationwide was shown. There are 1, 572, 008 Muslim learners for SY
2021-2022. CALABARZON IV A shared a big number of 19, 596
enrolees. It was also pointed out that SY 2021-2022 has the highest
number of Muslim learners enrolled in ALIVE for the past 6 years, while
SY 2016-2017 has the lowest. There was a consistent increase in
enrolment from SY 2016-17 to SY 2019-2020. However, there was a
decrease in enrolment in SY 2020-2021 due to the onset of the COVID –
19 Pandemic. Despite the decrease, enrolment increased again in SY
2021-2022.

There were 3, 304 schools offering ALIVE classes for SY 2021-2022. –

2, 644 are Elementary Schools and 650 are Junior High Schools offering
ALIVE classes. How about in our Region? Region IV A CALABARZON
has a total 127 Elementary Schools and 56 Junior High Schools catering
ALIVE classes. From this number, 7 are elementary PRIVATE SCHOOLS
AND 10 PRIVATE Junior High Schools.

There are 179, 665 learners enrolled in ALIVE classes nationwide for
SY 2021-2022. 173, 641 are enrolled in Public Schools, 4, 606 learners
are in private schools. In Region IV A CALABARZON, 1, 432 learners are
in public schools; only 40 are in private schools. At present, the region
has a total of 54 ALIVE teachers. Asatidz on the other hand, has a total
number of 66, wherein, 17 are ATEP completers, 36 are College
graduate, 41 QEALIS, 47 COS, 14 are permanent teachers and 3 LGU or
volunteer teachers.

Day 2 commenced with Management of Learning led by Quezon


Cluster. It was followed by Session 2, Synchronization of Learning
Resources ALIVE and Alignment to ALIVE MELCS discussed by Ma’am
Emelia P. Crescini, Regional Education Program Supervisor. Workshop
followed wherein Asatidz with the help of District Madrasah Focal
Persons, School Heads and teachers mapped the ALIVE Learning
Resources to ALIVE MELCS. Processing of the outputs was done
afterwards. It is so amazing that Asatidz were able to see the changes
that need to be done in order to synchronize the program.

In the afternoon session, Planning and Workshop on MEP


Implementation was done. Action plans were prepared based on the
participants’ assignment and KRA. Supervisors prepared their own
action plan, School Heads did what is necessary and suited to their
school needs as Madrasah Implementer. While this is being worked out,
Asatidz had their own activity of “meet and greet”. They had the chance
to know everyone better and discuss common problems/concerns that
they are experiencing and share solutions for these problems.

Day 3, Rizal Cluster started the day with their prepared


Management of Learning. After that, presentation of Action Plans made
yesterday followed. Representatives from different clusters discussed the
plan of actions they are proposing to do. Ma’am Millette Crescini
processed the actions plans and was astounded by the campaigns and
ideas for the improvement of Madrasah ACCESS and other activities to
improve the quality of learning in the program. The training was closed
through a challenge of peace among Christians and Muslims and was
accepted by the attendees.

At the end of the program the participants will have

● Orient the MEP Implementers on the ALIVE Curriculum and ALIVE


MELCS for Madrasah Education Program (MEP)

Implementers and align it to ALIVE Curriculum and ALIVE MELCS
and to improve the existing Implementation Plans on MEP.
