Soluble Insoluble
Beaker A 1 pinch of 50 ml of Unsaturated
sugar and
1pinch of
water
powdered
juice
Beaker B 2 tbsp of 50 ml of Unsaturated
brown sugar
and powdered
water
juice
1. What is solubility?
*The ability to be dissolve, especially in water.
2. What is miscibility?
*A property of two substances to mix all proportion, forming a homogeneous solution.
3. After adding the 3 materials in experiment 3 beaker D, were there still room or
space for additional amount of any of the materials? Why?
*Yes, because the materials settle at the bottom of the beaker therefore, there still a
space for additional materials.
4. What makes the soft drinks produce bubbles as you opened it?
*As you opened the soft drinks from the bottle/can the pressure inside decreases the
bubbles appear as the carbon dioxide and dissolved in the liquid turn into gas.
5. which among the materials are joint set and disjoint set?
*The joint set among the experiment 3 and 4 the A= {brown sugar , powdered juice∧water
}, B={brown sugar , powdered juice ,∧water } , and C= {brown sugar , powdered juice ,∧water }
6. Why do you consider the as null set?
*It’s because not all of them contains the exact amount of solute in every solution that
present in beaker A to B.
7. The relation using Venn Diagram:
Beaker A
Experiment 3
The beaker A to C have different colors due to the solute that has been added.
This means that A is unsaturated, B saturated, and the beaker C is supersaturated.
Beaker D when you stop stirring the mixture the materials settle down at the bottom
of the cup due to the effect of the gravity and its usually called sedimentation.
Experiment 4
As you opened the bottle/can of soft drink you hear a fuzz and see the bubbles,
because of the pressure inside decreases and the bubbles appear as the carbon
dioxide, and dissolved in the liquid turn into a gas.
