SB 18 seals can leak around the shaft. To repair:
1. Disassemble the SB 18 from the spreader by removing the flipper arm and marking the housing and shaft.
2. Clean all parts by removing old seals, sanding surfaces, and washing with water and oil.
3. Reassemble in reverse order, being careful when inserting the shaft to avoid damaging new seals, and test under pressure.

SB 18 Necessary tools. Necessary tools. Leaks around the shaft Take flipper arm off, and then disassemble SB 18 from the spreader. Mark both houses and shaft. Take the sprints out Take all bolts away, and separate the houses using a rubber hammer Disassemble it, and take care of all old inner seals Take the shaft out, and take the shaftseals away. Take the actuator away, sand all inner surfaces clean When clean, repair defects Also all holes must be cleaned Then rough cleaning with water and air Then washing in water/oil Same treatment for the shaft After everything is clean reassemble. Grease seals for staying at position First the white one, towards the outer side, then the black Put in house seal, make sure its 120 degrees between the opening of the washers When the inner shaft seals are in position , put back the shaft Be careful when the shaft pass the seals, use a tool to push the seals in when smoothly pass with the shaft When edge of shaft have past the seals, use a rubberhammer for the last distance. All the way in, but dont squeze the inner seal. Then put in shoe seal. Put back centerhouse, make sure following the marks. Put in 2 bolts to keep parts together. Put back second house, again very carefully with passing the seal. Use screws to slowly push house in while working with keeping seal in position. Put 2 sprints in, flat side in first Put bolts in, then the other sprints. Insert o-rings and put the connectionblock back. Fasten and tighten bolts with torque wrench if possible Connect pump and test function, then put 250 bar for an hour to test.
