Course objectives:

The course aims to

o further develop students' speaking, listening, writing and reading skills in the context of the
business topics assigned to the term

o improve mediation and presentation skills

o raise cultural awareness

Team- and independent work, self- and peer evaluation is encouraged throughout the course.

The course developers of Language for Business I (Term 1), Language for Business II (Term 2) and
Language for International Management and Business (Term 3), in terms of language skills
development, relied on the requirements and criteria of the Common European Framework of Reference
for Languages.

* Topics for PART TIME courses are covered via clusters of contact hours scheduled in 3-5 lessons for each
cluster.

Az ismeretek ellenőrzése - MONITORING THE ACQUISITION OF COURSE MATERIAL

1. Active participation in class: i.e. students are not only required to be present for 80% of the
classes (calculated on the basis of the actual number of classes in a term), but to come
prepared with both written and study tasks completed. Should a student be absent from a class,
(s)he should check what needs to be done for the next class.

2. One written assignment of 500 words with space between the lines set at 1.5, font Times New
Roman, size 12. To be submitted on the date set by the teacher.

3. Regular vocabulary and grammar development check

4. Independent research and in-class presentation (EU)

5. Two tests (ZH)

NOTA BENE: Students may be requested to write a short, 5-10 minute test at the beginning of any
class, without prior notice, on the contents of the previous class, incl. home tasks
