This document outlines an investigatory project that will examine how listening to music while studying affects test scores. The project will divide 10 students into two groups, have one group study with music playing and the other in silence, then test both groups to compare their average scores. The hypothesis is that listening to music before or during studying will lead to better grades. Key controlled variables are the students' gender, age, class, and test/article. The manipulated variable is the music played, and the responding variable is the quiz scores.
