How to curb and prevent the spread of COVID-19?

The control of corona virus is necessary in order to save ourselves from this pandemic
because prevention is better than cure. This virus is very serious and could prove to be
fatal for people above 60 years and it is also dangerous for two percent patients.
However despite this precautionary measures are essential because this virus is
causing deaths throughout the world and there is a universal fear among all the
countries. For this purpose, following steps should be taken in order to avoid the
spread of this virus.

If a person is suffering from corona virus, he or she should use warm water and soap
and rub his/ her hands for at least 20 seconds. Use hand sanitizer when hand-wash is
not possible. Rewash your hands several times a day, especially after touching
anything, including your phone, laptop and any other object.

Avoid touching any part of the face or head, including mouth, nose, and eyes. Also
avoid biting fingernails as it could prove dangerous. This can give a chance to
infection to go from hands into a body. This movement of this dangerous virus from
hand to inside the body may prove dangerous rather fatal to the human being himself
or herself.

Similarly, avoid touching other people. Skin-to-skin contact can further transmit
COVID-19 from one person to another.

Corona Virus is found in high amounts in the nose and mouth. This means it can be
carried by air droplets to other people when anyone coughs, sneezes or talks. It can
also land on hard surfaces and stay there for up to three days.

Use a tissue or sneeze into elbow to keep the hands clean as possible. Wash the hands
carefully after sneezing and coughing.
Use alcohol-based disinfectants to clean hard surfaces in our home like:

 countertops
 door handles
 furniture
 toys
 Also, clean the cellphone, laptop, and other daily use items.

Use white vinegar or hydrogen peroxide solutions for general cleaning in between
disinfecting surfaces.

Physical (social) distancing, also means staying home and working remotely when
possible.

If one must go out for necessities, keep a distance of six feet (two m) from other
people. You can transmit the virus by speaking to someone in close
contact with you.

Being in a group or gathering makes it more likely that you’ll be in close contact with
someone.

This includes avoiding all religious places of worship, as one may have to sit or stand
too close to another congregant. It also includes not congregating at parks or beaches.

Now is not the time to go out to eat. This means avoiding restaurants, coffee shops,
bars, and other eateries.

The virus can be transmitted through food, utensils, dishes, and cups. It may also be
temporarily airborne from other people in the venue.

You can still get delivery or takeaway food. Choose foods that are thoroughly cooked
and can be reheated.
Wear a mask must be made necessary but is should also be kept in mind that

 Wearing a mask alone will not prevent you from getting any infection. Careful
hand-washing and physical distancing must also be followed.
 Cloth masks aren’t as effective as other types of masks, such as surgical masks
or N-95 respirators. However, these other masks should be reserved for
healthcare workers and first responders.
 Wash your hands before you put on your mask.
 Wash your mask after each use.
 A mask shouldn’t be worn by a child under two years old, a person who has
trouble in breathing, or a person who can’t remove the mask on his own.

One should call our doctor if you have any symptoms. We should stay home until we
recover fully. Avoid sitting, sleeping, or eating with our loved ones even if we live in
the same home.
