May 11, 2016 MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2016-62 To + ALL PROVINCIAL GOVERNORS, CITY MAYORS, MUNICIPAL MAYORS, AND DILG REGIONAL DIRECTORS SUBJECT : 3RD AsiaEngage REGIONAL CONFERENCE, TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 21-23, 2016 AT THE SMX CONVENTION CENTER, PASAY CITY The University of the Philippines, in partnership with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (The National University of Malaysia), Ateneo de Manila University, and De La Salle University will host the 3rd Asia€ngage Regional Conference, to be held on November 21 to 23, 2016 at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City. The said international conference, which will be attended by around 300 ASEAN academicians and university engagement practitioners, will focus on the theme, “Universities in an Integrating Regional Community: Engagement with Government. Communities, Industries, and Civil Society.” In this connection, all Local Chief Executives are encouraged to allow the heads Of their Local Colleges and Universities within their respective jurisdictions to attend the said conference. The payment of registration fee, transportation, per diems and other incidental expenses may be charged against their respective local funds, subject to the availability of funds and to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
