We first began our business plan to profit from our passion and provide others
in our town with a safe and friendly place to mingle and relax while sipping and
eating.
“A’D Milk tea and Wings” is a combination of different flavors of milk tea and a
flavored chicken wing, made with perfections and a taste that can’t resist. As we
belong in a food industry, our vision is to provide best quality milk tea and wings and
to be one of the leading milk tea and wings company in the Philippines. And Our
mission is to delight and nourish our customers with quality and delicious chicken
wings and milk tea and to provide excellent service at a reasonable price.
A’D Milk tea and wings enterprise decided to address the hunger and cravings
of people today by offering milk tea and chicken wings, and other add ons to a large
group of people aged 12-65. The target individual of this business is for the
subsistence to upper income class, sports enthusiasts and both men and women.
The A’D Milk tea and wings enterprise’s target market is everyone in the
neighborhood, regardless of race, ethnicity, or religion.
Our business is located at Kaybagal south Tagaytay City near city college of
Tagaytay. We chose to open the business near at school because it will give us
more profit.
We listed down some of competitors around our business area and observe
their strategy so we can analyze what would be the best and unique strategy to
attract customers around the area. A’D milk tea and wings offer a milk tea same as
with the competitors but we have cheaper but a quality milk tea, partner with
delicious chicken wings that others don’t have. We also have a Facebook page, we
posted there our specialties. And by sharing our page, our business will be known by
many of people who uses social media platform.

Industry Outlook
Even though we are not a coffee society, it is a competitor and a middleweight
opponent, which is why milk teas are fighting for the attention of Filipinos and
convincing them to start drinking milk teas. Early in the 1980s, the tea was invented
in Taiwan, and since then, health-conscious consumers have substituted it for other
drinks.
It is challenging for milk tea to gain a firm foothold in the market since the few milk
tea businesses do not have a strong brand presence. Milk teas are still significantly
less popular than coffee shops.
With more milk tea and flavored chicken wing businesses opening, the sheer number
of enthusiasts keeps rising. Their extensive menus make it possible for everyone to
find their perfect cup. Nowadays, it’s common to see someone you know drinking
milk tea, either in a shop or having it brought to their house, at least once a week.
Milk tea and flavored chicken wing businesses can be found practically anyplace, but
the majority are in places where people gather, including campuses and shopping
malls. There is still potential for improvement despite the media’s attention being
given to milk tea and the extensive efforts being made to promote milk tea on social
media.

business mainly for their aesthetic
surroundings and their locally sourced beans.
Their main target market are tourists that visit
Tagaytay and Sta. Rosa, they also advertise
their products thru Facebook and Instagram.
Copi Copi is serving a variety of beverages
like milk tea and coffee. They also serve
desserts like sliced banana bread and
chocolate chip cookies. They also recently
partnered with Colette’s Buko Pie that offers different delicacies and “pasalubongs”.
Copi Copi’s beverage products range from ₱ 80.00 to ₱ 175.00.

 Pizza Kantina

They are also situated in Sta Rosa-Tagaytay


Road, Tagaytay City Cavite near Tagaytay
City Market. They market their business
claiming that they are a one-stop snack shop
serving variety of dishes like chicken wings,
pasta, frappe, milk tea and their main product
pizza. We consider them as a main
competitor because just like us, they served
chicken wings and milk teas and they’ve
been in business for quite some time. Their
main target market are locals and tourists
that craves pizza to whom they will also
serve their other side snacks. They have
media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, you can also find them in
Foodpanda and Grab. Pizza Kantina price ranges from ₱ 70.00 to ₱ 280.00 for solo
order and ₱ 320.00 to ₱ 610.00 for family order.

They are situated in The Observatory, Tagaytay City


Cavite. 16th Cent Koffie’s mission is to become the
recognized coffee shop in its target market for
providing an outstanding service of premium coffee
drinks and others. They market their products mainly
for their location which have an unobstructed view of
Taal Volcano but still with the cold weather of
Tagaytay. It’s location is quite hard to find as it is far
from the city’s commercial area but they turn it as a
strength saying you can enjoy your food away from
the loud city and pollution surrounded by trees and
fresh rural air. They served a variety of food like coffee, milk tea, pasta, burger and
other snacks. You can also rent out the whole place for exclusive events. Their main
target market are mid to higher class tourists since it’s really hard to go to their place
if you don’t have a private vehicle. They get hyped to consumers since their opening
announcement got trending in social medias. 16 th Cent Koffie proce ranges from ₱
180.00 to ₱ 350.00.

A’D Milk tea and Wings is a food and service type of business wherein the enterprise
offers a milk tea products and variety of flavored chicken wings. A’D Milktea and
Wings provides foods and drinks at affordable price with quality and aims to reach its
maximum targeted customer with the goal to become well known in the industry.
When our group discovered that those food products had become the most popular
in the market now a days, the team decided to make a combination of those food
products, with its unique flavored of chicken wings and variety of milk teas that will
surely make customers to craves for with its reasonable price in the market.
The group decided to name the business as A’D milk tea and wings since the
primary product of the enterprise is milk tea and wings. Also, the form of ownership
of our business is partnership. The owners are Ana and Darlyn, so we put the initial
letter of the two owners as the name of our business. The A’D Milk tea and Wings
vision is to provide best quality milk tea and wings and to be one of the leading milk
tea and wings company in the Philippines. And Our mission is to delight and nourish
our customers with quality and delicious chicken wings and milk tea and to provide
excellent service at a reasonable price.

CHAPTER 3
Production/Operations Plan
Technical Description of Product
Filipinos typically enjoy sipping on cool beverages like samalamig and buko juice,
which are constant favorites. But a new product only lately came into the picture.
From the North to the South, milk tea managed to catch the taste buds of every
Filipino. Everywhere you walk, you'll find shops and cafes selling milk teas in a
variety of tastes. Chicken wings are everybody’s favorite for a reason. They’re very
easy to prepare and cook, plus they look attractive when you arrange them on a
platter. And it something more flavorful, then crispy chicken wings with a spicy glaze
make for a great meal or snack.
Milk tea is simply what it sounds like- tea with milk added. This combination creates
a smoothness and slight sweetness to normal bitter teas such as black tea. A'D Milk
tea and Wings product, milk tea is a refreshing flavored tea with tapioca balls at the
bottom. Milk is mixed with a tea base, fruits, and flavored syrups, and later, the
tapioca balls are added. With its delicious and different take on a supposedly typical
drink, milk tea became a real hit. In creation of milk tea series powder is perfect
blend consists of the right amount of creaminess and different types of high-quality
milk tea powder like Okinawa, dark chocolate, cookies and cream, winter melon,
classic, strawberry and vanilla. This gives it a smooth and full-bodied texture, which
will keep our customer asking for more throughout the day. Everyone can try adding
an assortment of syrups to give them classic milk tea some twist, like caramel,
vanilla or chocolate flavored syrups with standard serving sizes which are small,
medium, and large. We can make both hot drink or cold drink instantly.
And in a combination of our milk tea, we also have chicken wings with a high quality
of chicken that is always new and tastier than others. We offer such a large variety of
flavored chicken wings, which are Honey Barbecue, Sweet and chili, Classic buffalo,
and garlic parmesan. (Minimum flavoring of 3 pieces) The chicken wings will come in
a standard basket. The chicken wings can be coated with the sauce or remain on the
side in a circular portion size cup for dipping purposes. Depending on the amount of
wings purchased, the baskets will vary. If the order is for “Take away” or delivery, the
chicken wings and side orders will be carried in a Wings take out paper box
container that is inside of a “Wings” commercialized paper-carrying bag.

Production Process
The production system of A'D Milktea and Wings strives to attain service
excellence in addition to process the food and serve quality products. This shall be
undertaken through the engagement of modern production techniques using up-to-
date assembly technology. This will also result in low production costs being attained
by the company. They also intend to ensure that the suppliers they are engaging are

committed and reliable so as not to let down the final consumer in terms of the
quality of the product and time of delivery.
In order to improve productivity in their plants they intend to reduce waste and
duplication in their A'D Milktea and Wings by streamlining administrative functions
and promoting and instilling a business culture that focuses on the teamwork rather
than individual productivity. By the undertaking the above they will optimize their
productivity given the available resources.
Process production of Chicken Wings
First thing to do: Marinate (the basic marination) the projected chicken wings
in the morning to serve for the next day. Second thing to do: Before the store close,
do the different sauce in the same amount of the projected chicken wings.
Note: The serving time for dine in and take out is around 10 to 15 minutes.

Process production of Milktea
First thing to do: Do the tapioca pearl by boiling the water, when water achieves a
rolling boil pour in the tapioca pearls. Stir the tapioca lightly so that it doesn't stick to
the bottom. Let the tapioca pearls float to the top. When the tapioca floats, cover the
pot. Maintain a rolling boil and stir every 5 minutes.Steep the cooked tapioca for 15
minutes. Lastly, cover it in sugar syrup. Then, there you have it. Set aside for awhile.

Plant capacity involves the process of capacity planning which could be referred to
as the process of determining the production capacity needed by an organization to
meet changing demands for its products. Its goal is to maintain a flow in resource
usage. Our business has 6 production staff working in to 12 hours shifts in 7 days
per week. And using different equipment for producing our A'D milk tea and Wings
throughout time of our A'D milk tea is 0.5 hours. That means the cumulative
productive hours per week 6x12x7=504 hours The A'D milk tea can formerly produce
1,500 to 2800 pieces of a certain product per month. And in making the A'D chicken
wings the plant capacity that can be made every month would be around 2,940 to
3220 pieces per month. The ability of the business to operate at maximum capacity
increases with the percentage.

Proposed Name of the Business
Our group decided to name the business as A’D milktea and wings
since the primary product of the enterprise is milk tea and wings. Also, the form of
ownership of our business is partnership. The A’D is combination of Ana and Darlyn
which are the owners of the business.

Business Logo
The Logo of A’D milktea and wings is design to show the combination of
milktea and chicken wings which is the primary menu of our business. The color
background of the logo is orange because an orange logo sends the message that
your company is friendly and cheerful just like A’D Milktea and Wings that is owned
by the form of partnership and friendship.

Target Market
A’D Milktea and Wings Enterprise decided to address the hunger and
cravings of people today by offering milk tea and chicken wings, and other add-ons
to a large group of people aged 12 to 65. The target individual for this business is for
the subsistence to upper-income class, sports enthusiasts, and both men and
women. The A’D Milktea and Wings enterprise’s target market is everyone in the
neighborhood, regardless of race, ethnicity, or religion.
A’D Milktea and Wings decides to sell the products in Kaybagal South,
Tagaytay, 4120 Cavite in front of City College Tagaytay School. The proponents’
primary target market are the students of CCT. The secondary target market are the
teachers, school staffs and faculties of nearby schools such as Materdei Academy
and Tagaytay City National High School
and the employees of Tagaytay City Hall.
Moreover, the tertiary target market are the homeowners and other locals
within the vicinity of the establishment.
This product is for people who prefer milk tea beverages that include chicken
wings. This core audience wants to give themselves the luxury of delicious snacks
and beverages but doesn’t want to limit their snacking habits by making them more
expensive. Everyone has their own personal time, which makes this business ideal
for individuals who want to focus on themselves, as well as couples who enjoy
getting together for a meal, and groups who enjoy sharing a meal and catching up
with their friends.

Product Positioning
A’D Milktea and Wings aims to serve our customers with high-quality, flavorful
chicken wings and milk tea as well as great service at a fair price. Located in
Kaybagal South, Tagaytay 4120 Cavite near City College of Tagaytay (CCT). A’D
Milktea and Wings wants to offer customer a great time while they enjoy a smoother
flavor and slightly sweetens milk tea and healthier chicken wings that may instantly
satisfy their hunger. This product is also associated with having a great time with
family and friends.

Market Size
The primary target market are the students of CCT. The secondary target
market are the teachers, school staffs and faculties of nearby schools such as
Materdei Academy and Tagaytay City National High School. The estimated number
of target customers per day is about three hundred (300).

Market Study
The proponents conducted a survey with the students at city college of
tagaytay and to the employees and people within the vicinity of the establishment.
There are 100 respondents. They used survey questionnaire to determine the
willingness of the customers in purchasing the product. Furthermore, the proponents
also aim to identify the price that they willing to pay for the products. The figures
below show the result of the market survey.

Figure 1 shows that 56% of our respondents are female and 44% percent are male.

employees.

The figure 1.3 shows the age of the respondents. It shows that the age of the
respondents is range from 17 to 57 years old and above. While most of the
respondents are 21 years old which consist of 23.4% or equivalent to 22 people.

Question 1: We were proposing to open a new business which is A'D Milk tea and
Wings in Kaybagal South, Tagaytay City near City College of Tagaytay.  Our shop
is for people who prefer milk tea beverages that include chicken wings. We offer
different flavor of milk tea such as Okinawa, Dark chocolate, Cookies and Cream,
Winter melon, Classic, Strawberry and Vanilla with extra sinkers and toppings like
Pearl, Oreo, Nata, and Cream cheese. Aside from that, we also offer chicken
wings with four different flavor; Honey Barbeque, Sweet and Chili, Classic Buffalo
and Garlic Parmesan. After reading the description above, how interested are you
in this products or services?

The graph shows out of 100 respondents, 61% answered extremely interested to
A’D Milk tea and wings while 38% stated that they are very interested and 1%
answered not interested. Therefore, it is guaranteed that the respondents are
interested to A’D Milk tea and wings.

The responses to the question as reflected in figure 3 reveals that 98% out of 100
respondents are open in visiting A’D milk tea and wings to purchase products
while 2% out of 100 respondents answered not. Therefore, majority of the
respondents will come to purchase the products.

As can be seen from figure 4, out of 100 respondents 52% wants to visit our shop
in weekend while 48% wants to go in weekdays. Therefore, A’D milk tea and wings
will open the store in weekend too.

Figure 5 shows that majority of the respondents (63%) prefer to go to our shop in
afternoon 12pm-5pm. While 25% of the respondents wants to go in evening and
12% wants to visit in morning. Thus, the opening time of our shop will be 8am-
11pm.

Figure 6 illustrates that 72% of our respondents willing to pay Php60-Php100 for
our milk tea. While 26% out of 100 respondents are willing to pay Php100-Php150
and 2% answered Php150 and above. Summing up all the gathered data, most of
the respondents prefer Php60-Php100 for the price of milk tea.

respondents, 77% are willing to pay Php89 for 3 pcs. chicken wings and 23% are
willing to pay for Php99. Thus, the price of 3pcs. chicken wings should be Php89.

of 100 respondents, 35% answered cookies and cream is the flavor that they often

The figure 10 shows that 34% of the respondents answered classic buffalo is the
flavor of chicken wings that they often purchase. While 28% choose sweet chili
flavor, 23% answered garlic parmesan and 15% wants honey barbeque. Therefore,
classic buffalo chicken wings will be the best seller of A’D milk tea and wings.

Marketing Strategy
Product
We innovated the product and offers other varieties of milk teas to
differentiate its appearance and flavor. We provide two sizes of cups, the cups to
allow them to choose between medium and large. Additionally, we include an extra
sinker and toppings (Pearl, Oreo, Nata, and Cream cheese) if they would want more.
We also offer 4 different flavored chicken wings so that they can choose what
flavor sauce they prefer. Honey Barbeque, Classic Buffalo, Garlic Parmesan and
Sweet and Chili.
Packaging
We use reusable cups and eco-bag holders to package our Milk tea. While
preparing chicken wings, we use paper box. This method of packaging is not only
cost effective, but also environmentally friendly.

Price
The pricing strategy that our enterprise uses is Cost-plus pricing, a very
simple cost-based pricing strategy for setting the prices of goods and services. With
cost-plus pricing, you first add the direct material cost, the direct labor cost, and
overhead to determine what it costs the company to offer the product or service. A
markup percentage is added to the total cost to determine the selling price. This
markup percentage is profit.

Form of ownership
We choose partnership as a form of our business ownership, because we
believe that two heads are better than one, partnership is easy to establish, and low

PARTNERSHIP OF A’D MILKTEA AND WINGS
The business ownership is partnership which consist of two owner, Filipino
citizens and students of City College of Tagaytay.
The two owner, Ms. Ana Carmela Jonson and Darlyn Ann Domamay voluntarily
associated together for the purpose of forming a partnership under the following
terms and conditions below:
 In A’D Milktea and Wings, partnership has no limit number of partners. A’D
Milktea and Wings Enterprise has two owners.
 In cost and ease of starting a business, it is low and relatively easy.
 The liability of the owners in the A’D Milktea and Wings is unlimited for the
general partner and limited for limited partners.
 When it comes to Share of profits and losses, in partnership of A’D Milktea
and Wings, sharing of profits and losses is depends on a partner’s
investments, and on agreement of partners.
 Capital contribution: The estimated capital of this partnership shall be the
amount of 500,000 Philippine Currency.

Owners – Business owners oversee the day-to-day operations of our busimess,


managing staff, resolve customer issues and work to make the establishment
profitable.
Responsible for the growth, stability, direction, and daily operation of the
business.

Manager – Manage a team of employees by providing constant feedback and


communicating the company’s goals. Assessing the work performance of their
employees and identifying areas that need improvement.

Cashier – Welcoming customers and helping them to determine their orders then
after they process the orders, they collect payments from customers. Also, their
duties are responding to customers inquiries, issue receipts, and record customer
suggestions and maintaining public areas.

Barista – Preparing and serve milk tea. Also maintain a clean and well-stocked
workspace and dining area, update displays, and continuously expand your
knowledge of food and beverage quality controls, preparation methods, and
presentation.
Cook -The cook plans, prepares, and cook food items to ensure the highest quality
service and experience for customers. They help the kitchen organized and running
efficiently. They ensure proper food handling, sanitation and following food storage
procedures.

Kitchen Helper – A kitchen helper cleans and sanitizes kitchen equipment, assists in
basic food preparation, and with receiving and storing products in kitchens,
restaurants, clubs, fast food outlets and catering companies. They have knowledge
of general kitchen operations and of general food storage guidelines.

Waiter/Waitress – Delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables


rapidly and accurately. Communicating food orders to barista, paying attention to
priorities. Check in with customers and take additional orders or refill water, as
needed.
