PRELIM EXECISE 2

1. What is the difference between the Ilocos Region's culture and National
Capital Region?
It is quite difficult to make a living in Ilocos. They appreciate money so
much that most people perceive them as stingy, but in reality they are merely
thrifty, wanting to spend what they make properly. And, with a rapidly growing
population, their nation is no longer large enough to contain them. As a result
of this type of atmosphere, they became fighters and survival. And primarily
focuses on living a better life. And, as a result of all of this, it is difficult for
them to make money, especially given how far they are from the center of the
trade business. When it comes to marital culture, they, like all Filipinos,
adhere to all norms within the home and within the family. Before even
considering marriage, Ilocano teenagers seek the approval of both sets of
parents. Ilocanos hold a tremendous regard for their parents, which is
reflected in their marital customs. When it comes to festivals, Ilokano has a lot
to offer, especially considering that it is comprised up of four provinces and
over 3000 barangays.
The National Capital Region is known for its rich culture. Metro Manila,
a city of enormous diversity, is also a tourist destination rich in historical,
cultural, and religious influences. Metro Manila is the Philippines' shopping
center.   Metro Manila is densely packed with historical sites and leisure
locations. In terms of educational institutions, it is regarded as the country's
educational center. Many students from all across the Philippines come to
study in Metro Manila.
To sum up, the Ilocos Region and the National Capital Region are very
different. One important distinction is that the Ilocos regions are provinces, but
the NCR has no provinces. With this, we may justify people's way of life.
Others may find provinces dull. However, for some, it is an ideal spot to
arrange their thoughts, forget about their worries for a bit, and realize things.
Meanwhile, if you live in the city, you can complain that it is too untidy,
congested, and noisy. However, you are unaware of the enjoyment and
excitement that an event offers you.
2. Give 2 attractions in Ilocos Region and discuss their significant value.
BAGUI WINDMILLS

- Bangui Wind Farm is a wind farm in Bangui, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. These
windmills have evolved into a global tourist attraction, attracting and
anticipating millions of tourists. The windmills form a picturesque arc,
reflecting the shoreline of Bangui Bay and facing the West Philippine Sea.
Because to its location between the Pacific Ocean and the South China Sea,
Ilocos experiences more wind than the rest of the Philippines. The
development of Bangui Bay Wind Farm is like hitting two birds with one stone:
getting the benefits of both sustainable energy and a booming tourism
industry.

MARCOS MUSEUM
- This is Marcos ancestral home-turned-museum displays the remains and
memorabilia of former president Ferdinand Marcos. The museum depicts
Ferdinand Marcos' early years, his journey to politics and public service, from
the time he was elected as a congressman of Ilocos Norte's 2nd District until
he was seated in the Senate before becoming President of the country. It's
also worth noting that a portion of the museum's collection will allow you to
see the late president's eleven-day courtship with former First Lady Imelda R.
Marcos.
