the world around us. In this magazine, I will
share my personal stories, perspectives, and
insights on the events that have shaped their
university experience. From navigating the
complexities of friendships and relationships,
to overcoming academic obstacles and
pursuing personal passions, each reflection
offers a unique window into the challenges
and triumphs of university life. I hope that this

outdoors, I'm always looking for new challenges
to tackle. I believe in the importance of hard

in my studies and in my personal life. When I'm
not studying, I enjoy running and hiking, which
help me stay energized and focused.

CLEAN OUR PLATE

organised by AISEC Malaysia

REPORTING
Clean Our Plate is an AIESEC project in
Malaysia that tackles food waste aligned with
#SDG12: Responsible Consumption and
Production. Due to the global pandemic, the
project has adapted to a zero-risk virtual
format. Virtual volunteers successfully
conducted initiatives such as Food Donation
Drive, Household Food Waste Reduction, and
Virtual Engagement, reaching out to 1850
people through online campaigns. The project
also managed to collect 321.6285kg of food
waste from volunteers' households, with 70%
(225.1595kg) composted into a green compost.
The project's success was made possible with
the collaboration of 34 local and national
partners.

As a virtual volunteer, I actively participated in

initiatives like the Food Donation Fundraising
Program, Composting Workshop, and Poster
Preparation and Virtual Podcast. Through online
campaigns, we reached out to 1850 individuals,
raising awareness and inspiring action to combat
food waste.

Communication Skill:
As a participant in the Clean Our Plate project, I
had to communicate my ideas, progress, and
outcomes effectively to stakeholders and the
public. This project helped me develop my
communication skills, which are essential to my

project, I became a global citizen who is aware of
my impact on the environment and society and is
committed to making positive contributions to the

MID AUTUMN FESTIVAL (PESTA TANGLUNG)

organized by Persatuan Mahasiswa Buddha (PMB UTMKL)

REPORTING
The Persatuan Mahasiswa Buddha (PMB UTMKL)
organized the Mid-Autumn Festival 2022 program at
Selangor King George V Silver Jubilee. The event
aimed to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival and
promote UTMKL as a society that cares for the
people's welfare through charity activities. It also
sought to increase interaction and communication
between society members and collegemates while
promoting voluntary activities to reinforce young
people's commitment to serving the community.

The main event of the Mid-Autumn Festival was held

on December 3, 2022. The day started with an
aerobic exercise for the orphans, old folks, and
committee members to prepare them for the day. The
participants then split into groups for various
activities, including DIY crafts for the old folks and
outdoor mini-games and bracelet making for the
orphans. The event culminated in the opening
ceremony of the Mid-Autumn Festival, "Whispers of
the Moon," where a variety of performances,
including Sichuan Opera face changing show,
diabolo, and choir, were presented. The program
ended with the distribution of goodie bags and a
group photo as a memory of the event.

As the head of logistics and sponsorship for the Mid-Autumn

Festival 2022, my responsibilities were extensive and crucial
to the success of the event. I was responsible for managing
the logistics and transportation of equipment, supplies, and
materials needed for the event. This included coordinating

with vendors, volunteers, and committee members to ensure
timely delivery and setup of booths, stages, and other event
structures. Additionally, I oversaw the management of the
venue and ensured that everything was set up in accordance
with safety regulations.

My role also involved securing sponsorships and donations

from various organizations and businesses. This was a crucial
aspect of the event as it helped to cover the costs of
organizing the festival and allowed us to donate to charitable
organizations. I worked closely with the fundraising team to
create compelling proposals and presentations to potential
sponsors and donors. This involved researching and identifying
potential sponsors, developing relationships, and negotiating
agreements.

It was heartwarming to see the attendees, including orphans and elderly

residents, all enjoying themselves and having a great time. Overall, the Mid-
Autumn Festival 2022 was a huge success in achieving its objectives of

CONCLUSION
These programs are transformative experiences that
allowed me to grow personally and professionally. These
events not only gave me the opportunity to contribute to
the community but also provided a platform for self-
development. They allowed me to connect with like-minded
individuals who share my passion for community service
and gave me a sense of purpose and fulfillment. I was able
to contribute to something larger than myself and make a
positive impact on society. Overall, I am grateful for these
experiences and the opportunity to be a part of something
greater than myself.
