- You cannot upload anything new while offline and you’ll only be able to browse through
images, fonts, and projects you have saved to your computer for offline use.
Note: You can save a free image in a project in your Design Space
account. If the image is no longer free when you go to cut it, you will
have to purchase it or subscribe to Cricut Access in order to cut it.
If it is still being offered for free, you can cut it for free.

Save: This option will activate after you’ve placed one element on your canvas area. Make
sure to save your project as you go so you don’t loose your hard work if you run out
battery ort he App crashes.
Home/Canvas/Make: These buttons are shortcodes, and they represent the different views
you will have while using the App.
Home: will take you right at the beginning if you wanted to
replace your current project and add a new one-tap here.
Canvas: is the place where you design and organize a project before
you cut it.
Make: tap here if you want to cut your project. First, you need to tap
Make it on the Bottom Panel.
Actions: The Actions tool opens up a new menu with a bunch of tools you can use to
change your design:
Group: This tool permits you to join or group different layers. When there’re many layers that
need to come together to form a design, then you can use the “Group” tool to bring every-
thing together.
Ungroup: This tool does the opposite of what “Group” does, it detaches a design that is
made up of many layers.
Attach: This tool joins shapes and modifies their colors to fit the background color you’re
using. These changes will still be in effect even after you’re done cutting.
Slice: Use this tool to carve out shapes, texts, and diverse elements from an entire design.
Flatten: This tool turns any image into a printable image, merging all selected layers into a
single image.
Advanced: This tool allows you to Ungroup to Letters (separate each letter, into a single
layer), Ungroup to Lines (separate a paragraph on individual lines) or Ungroup to Layers
(only available for Multi-Layer fonts; these kinds of fonts are only available for individual
purchases and, or Cricut Access).
Hide Contour: The Contour tool allows you to hide unwanted pieces from a design, and it
will only be activated when a shape or design has elements that can be left out.
Edit: The Edit Menu allows you to modify your text or object even further. You can change
font, color, size, align, arrange, and organize all of the elements you have on the
canvas area.
Sync: The Color Sync panel allows you to sync up layer colors to reduce the number of
different material colors you plan to use in this project. Sync layer colors by
dragging a layer and dropping it on another layer whose color you want to match.
Layers: When you tap on the layers icon, a panel will slide open on the right. From here, you
can see all the different fonts and images of your design.
Undo & Redo: Clicking “Undo” will revert a recent activity or action, and “Redo” brings back
a deleted or reverted activity or action.
Settings: The Settings tool allows you to choose whether you want to use metric units or not,
if you want gridlines to show or not and if you want the Smart Guides to be turned on
(Smart Guides help you align new objects to objects already on the canvas).
Make it: Make it is the last icon of the Cricut Design Space App; tap on it once you finish with
your design, and you are ready to cut it.
Note: If you don’t see any of your saved projects, it may be because you’re not signed in. If
you’ve recently updated the app, you can get signed out.

Tips:
• You can Slice both images and text.
• When using Slice with images, you can only work with two layers at one time.
• Layers in groups can be Sliced if you select just the individual layers, not the entire groups.
• When the Slice function is performed with hidden layers, all hidden layers will be removed.
• If the text is multilayered and one layer is hidden, you can use the Slice tool. However, if you ungroup text
from its shadow layer, it becomes an image and will no longer work with the Slice tool unless the text is
ungrouped to individual letters.

Tips:
- You can continue to adjust letter spacing, rotate, edit the actual text,
and change the font type and style after curving your text as long as you
don’t weld or flatten the text.

SmartGuides are turned on. To turn them off, tap Settings in the bottom
