CHILD PROTECTION PROGRAM/GUIDANCE SERVICES

Children are the most vulnerable individuals in our society and we at Upper London
Elementary School -Bawing Elementary School Extension believe that every child is
unique. That’s why it is our focus to monitor its performance holding the children’s right
standard to ensure their protection and safety.

In relation to Division Memorandum SGOD No. 91, s. 2022 entitled Division

Monitoring of Activities of Youth Formation, Partnership and Child Protection Programs in
school. In lieu with this, the Upper London Elementary School-Bawing Elementary School
Extension, created first the Child Protection Committee which was headed by Evangeline
A. Pontong, Teacher In-Charge as Chairman, Russel P. Baquero, Guidance Coordinator
as Vice-Chairman, Hearthymea B. Licayan, Teacher Association President, ,Vangie L.
Tempomona, General PTA President, Jeanne A. Añabesa, SPG President, Paula Angelica
Diano, Brgy. Council for The Protection of the Children as members.

As a school who advocates the Child Protection and Child Friendly environment,
the Child Protection Coordinator of the school disseminates information to the group chat
of teachers to share and send pictures of their learners’ family bonding to strengthen their
right “Magkaroon ng tahanan at pamilyang mag-aaruga”. In this trying time, they can still
enjoy the company of their family and feel their importance and sense of belongingness
despite various restrictions brought by COVID-19 pandemic.
