A lively performance at a bright tempo with excellent accuracy and rhythmic control. The tone was
confidently projected and well coordinated in the cross hand quavers. Not all the detail was fully contrasting,
but there was a sense of style and pert articulation.

Pittarello: Viking Village from Piano Exam Pieces 2021-2023: Grade 1

This was a strong performance, with crisp rhythms and a robust pulse. The tone was balanced between
melodies and accompaniment. Control over the quavers was mostly even and a good level of dynamic
shading brought a sense of drama.

The slow tempo was well sustained and the melody spoke clearly. The LH tone was a little too prominent in
the loud sections but was discreet in the soft passages, which contrasted very effectively. The playing was
confident and fluent.

Technical Work:
The scales were offered promptly and flowed with firm, even tone. Broken chords were steady and rhythmic,
with a little unevenness in the LH legato. The exercises were fluent, with clear dynamics and attentive
detail, and musical characterisation.

Performance Delivery and Focus:

A very assured presentation, which flowed smoothly, with a slight hurrying at the end of the second piece.
Poise was calmly kept throughout.

The ability to establish and maintain styles was well demonstrated. A thoughtful and attentive use of detail
was alert to most musical possibilities.
