Our Product and Service Concept
- It’s a Café Restaurant and we called it The Daily Grind Café Restaurant
- Value: Our café restaurant will provide different variety of coffee and cakes
with affordable prices.
- Location: The proper location places the shop in front of as many potential
coffee drinkers as possible. Universities are the example to provide captive
audiences for the product.
- Target Segment: Age Group (20-50 years)
- Differ offer from Competitors: Customer friendly, unique taste, student
discount and membership.

These are the six (6) steps of conducting research and development for our
ideas for product or services.

1. Creating new ideas or ideation

The Daily Grind Cafe using SCAMPER Model:

Substitute
- Use matcha latte or turmeric latte instead of regular coffee to make a healthy
choice.
- Provide alternatives to cow’s milk, such as oat or almond milk

Combine
- Provide all-day brunch alternatives by combining the breakfast and lunch
menu items.
- Provide a combo bargain for coffee and pastries.

Adapt
- Create a mobile app or collaborate with a delivery provider to meet the rising
demand for online ordering and delivery.
- Provide catering for corporate events or meetings

Modify
- Make interior design changes to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Change the menu to offer additional gluten-free or vegan alternatives.

Put
- Hold small gatherings there, such as readings of poetry or book clubs.
- Make natural fertilizers for a communal garden out of used coffee grounds.
Eliminate
- Discontinue the use of single-use plastics and provide reusable cups and
straws.
- Replace out-of-date equipment with new espresso makers or coffee
grinders.

Reverse/Arrange
- Reposition the furniture to create more secluded talking areas.
- Subvert the standard café structure by allowing customers to pay what they.
can for their coffee standard.

2. Researching

We conduct online survey about our business to get their feedbacks.

3. Planning

Products

- Espresso
An espresso shot is not only essential to those who like a certain kick with
their cup of coffee, but it is also important for a variety of popular drinks.
Americano, affogato, romano, latte – you name it, and espresso serves as the
base of it. That is why it is absolutely imperative that you keep this coffee at
the very heart of your cafe menu ideas.

- Iced Coffee
Cold brew is all the rage these days. But due to its simplicity, more and more
customers are turning towards making it at their homes. What they are not
mostly making at home is an iced coffee, since it takes more than a mason jar
and to make this complex yet delicious drink.

- Latte
You can’t mention espresso without also speaking of latte. As you may have
learned from the explanation above, authentic latte drinks are all made out of
an espresso base. Latte also covers some of the most popular coffee drinks in
the world, Since these drinks are also some of the best selling choices at any
cafe, it is essential that latte is on our coffee shop menu suggestions.

- Cupcakes
With different varieties and toppings to choose from, they remain quite a
staple for coffee shops especially during busy lunch hours as well as closing
time. If you want to serve best-selling sugary snacks to a variety of customers
through your cafe, then cupcakes are the way to go.

- CAKES
Cakes are a good example of food with a large margin that can be sold
quickly. Well-selling cakes for cafes are chocolate cakes and cakes with
pumpkin, banana, cherry or strawberry cakes.
- COOKIES AND MUFFINS
Good coffee tastes even better with a small, good cookie.

- SANDWICHES
Many customers coming to the cafe in the morning buy breakfast sandwiches,
usually including bacon, egg and cheese.
