Learning activity 2.

A. How to perform the following basics skills?

1. Forearm Pass
- Two flat elbow and one close arm and one cover in the close arm, this are the correct
way to set/ receive a forearm pass. The body must move toward the direction of ball
and bend the knee to receive a perfect set of receiving.
2. Overhand Pass/ Toss
- Overhand pass or toss, the hand must be a diamond shape to receive a good bounce of
ball, the elbow must be out, not too tight and not to wide, the ball must be over the
head when setting or receiving.
3. Underhand and overhand serve
- Underhand serve must be done outside in the court line, you must face the net slightly
sideway and your knee must be bend slightly, then hold the ball in line with your other
hand at the height of your hips and your other hand must be bend 45 degree under the
ball from back to front. Overhand serve your hand must be toss the ball in the air and in
line with your other arm and your other must be hit the ball in the center with a flat
hand.

1. What are the different basic skills in volleyball?


- Serving, passing (forearm underhand passing), setting (overhead passing), attack options

- The serving start the rally and is the most important skill. Passing, serving, setting,
spiking, blocking and digging are the six basic skills of volley ball to execute.
