b. appreciate the importance of festival in preserving culture
c. perform a creative presentation that promote the Philippine Festival

A. Discussion

This time let us know first what festival


dance is. Everybody read!

Festival Dances are cultural dances


performed to the strong beats of
percussion instruments by a community
of people sharing the same culture
usually done in honour of a Patron Saint
or in thanksgiving of a bountiful
harvest. Festival also is a form of
entertainment that attracts foreign and
domestic tourists to visit a place.

There are two types of festival and


those are:

We will have a game entitled “Locate Yes ma’am.

choose their 5 representatives. I have

has a corresponding names of the
festival. What you are going to do is to
locate the strips in the Philippine map
you think where it was originated
Luzon, Visayas or Mindano. You only
have 1 minute to do the task. The group
who will finish first and locate correctly
will be declared as the winner and

centre of the Sto. Nino Catholic
celebrations in the Philippines.

Sto. Nino to celebrate the arrival on
Panay of Malay settlers and the
subsequent selling of the island to
them by the Atis.
