ポイント【１】　to 不定詞の「バリエーション（意味上の S・not・完了形）」

●不定詞の「意味上の主語」：to の直前に“for 人 ”を置く【for 人 to ∼】

It is easy to answer the question.「その質問に答えるのは簡単だ」
It is easy for me to answer the question.「私がその質問に答えるのは簡単だ」

●不定詞の「否定形」：to の直前に not を置く【not to ∼】

I asked him to go there.「私は彼がそこに行くように頼んだ」
I asked him not to go there.「私は彼がそこに行かないように頼んだ」
I didn t ask him to go there.「私は彼がそこに行くようには頼まなかった」

【参考】代不定詞とは？

The boy opened the window, although his mother told him not to.
「母が開けてはいけないと言ったのに，男の子は窓を開けた」

この英文の最後は，his mother told him not to {open the window} ということ

です。
このように「to だけ残すことで，直後に動詞が省略されていることを暗示する to 不
定詞」を「代不定詞」と言います。
「（省略された）動詞の代わりに働く不定詞」ということです。
「反復を避ける」ために to の後ろの動詞を省略するわけです。

●「不定詞」と「完了不定詞」の違い
普通の不定詞：to V    ※主節と同時制
完了不定詞：to have p.p. ※主節より「1 つ前の時制」

 
He seems to be rich.「彼はお金持ちのようです」
↑ seems と同時制
※「今」rich だと，「今」予想

 
He seems to have been rich.「彼はお金持ちだったようです」
↑ seems より 1 つ前の時制（ここでは過去形）
※「過去」に rich だと，「今」予想

 
He seemed to be rich.「彼はお金持ちのようだった」
↑ seemed と同時制 
※「過去」に rich だと，「過去」に予想

 
He seemed to have been rich.「彼はお金持ちだったようだった」
↑ seemed より 1 つ前の時制（ここでは大過去）
※「過去の過去」に rich だと，「過去」に予想
