Follow up MRI to assess the known pituitary lesion,
Indication:
Last MRI on 10.10.2020: Rathke’s cleft cyst 9 x 12 x 16mm

MRI Scan Brain and Pituitary No. 3180


T1W, FLAIR – axial, T1W, T2W – coronal and sagittal, Post contrast

Comparison made with previous MRI (2950/21) done on 10.10.2020

Report:
There is a well-defined lesion measuring 9 x 12 x 16mm (AP x CC x W) within the pituitary fossa,
which shows T1 iso intensity and T2 low signal intensities. It shows heterogenous enhancement.
No diffusion restriction. It compresses and displace the anterior pituitary anteriorly and posterior
pituitary posteriorly. The posterior pituitary bright spot is seen separately form the lesion.
No supra sella or para sella extension.
Pituitary stalk and optic chiasm are not displaced.

Cerebral sulci and gyri appear normal.

Grey-white demarcation preserved.


Ventricular system appears normal.
No midline shift.
Brain stem and cerebellum appear normal.

Comment:
 Previously noted intrasellar Rathke’s cleft cyst is still noted without significant interval
changes of size. No suprasellar extension.

 Normal MRI brain
