PC ASSEMBLING

A Fixing the processor

1. Place the CPU into the ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) socket.
2. Gently, lower the CPU into the ZIF socket. Make sure that the number 1 pin is
placed correctly.
3. Lock the socket using the Locking lever.
4. Fix the processor fan on the processor. Make sure that the locks of the
processor fan are in place.

B Installing the RAM

1. Insert the RAM in the RAM slot at an angle of 450. Press downwards.

C Installing the hard disk

1. Insert the hard drive into the drive-tray and screw it in securely on both sides
2. Attach the primary IDE cable to the drive

D Installing the optical drive

1. Insert the drive into the front of the casing until it clicks into place
2. Screw it in securely on both sides.
3. Attach the secondary IDE cable to the drive.
4. Connect the audio cable of the CD-ROM to the jumper on the board.

E Installing power supply

1. Attach the power supply into the place. Then tight it up.
2. Connect the cables from the power supply to the motherboard, hard disk, and
optical drive.
3. Ensure that all connection are firmly attached, and that no wires run close to
the top of the processor fan.

F Connecting other peripherals

1. Plug the video cable of the monitor to the display port.


2. Connect the keyboard, speakers and mouse to the respective ports.

G Powering the system

1. Plug in the power cord and switch on the power supply.


2. Press the power button.
3. Enter BIOS Setup by pressing the Delete key immediately during the post-test
(power on self-test)
4. Review and edit the BIOS setting if necessary.
