OCCUPATIONAL HALTH AND SAFETY ACT, (ACT NO 85 OF 1993)

In terms of Section 8

(2) Without derogating from the generality of an employer’s duties under sub section (1), the matters to
which those duties refer included in articular –

(i) Ensuring that work is performed and that plant or machinery is used under the general
supervision of a person trained to understand the hazards associated with it and who has the
authority to ensure that precautionary measures taken by the employer are implemented;”

I, Mornè Drotsky for Megavison (PTY) Ltd do hereby appoint, Hand Tool Inspector
___________________________, at the following premises/site: Boulders Estate.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Inspect all site hand tools at least once per month.
2. Ensure all of the inspection are recorded on the register.
3. Deviations noted must be reported to your supervisor immediately.
4. Damaged hand tools must be removed from site use and destroyed if the cannot be repaired.
