Samuel’s Unpleasant Experience

Last year, I went for a holiday in Penang. I stayed at the Pearl Hotel in Batu Ferringhi. My dad (0) drives us

there. The journey took about six (1) hour. Everyone was exhausted by the time we reached (2) their

destination except Samuel. He was very (3) exciting and insisted that dad take him to the beach immediately.

So, while Mum and I dutifully (4) unpack all our clothes, Samuel and dad put (5) off their swimming trunks

and went for a dip in the sea. As I waved goodbye to Samuel, I knew he would (6) has a marvellous time

swimming in the warm, salty sea. But within fifteen minutes, I saw (7) him returning. Dad was (8) carried a

wailing Samuel who had cut his feet on the rocks. Poor Samuel! He had to be contented with swimming in

the pool for the rest of the holiday.

dusk fell. Everyone was tired after the long drive. My brother and I yawned and stretched when we got out of
the car. Thinking that Tiger was tired after a long journey, I took it out from its cage (3) but let it roam freely
around the house. Unfortunately, Tiger went (4) miss next day. I was very sad and worried because we had to

drowsy, I opened my eyes. To my surprise, a pair of sad eyes stared at me. It was Tiger! I (7) grab it and
realised that Tiger was wet and smelly. I wondered where it had gone to. Maybe it (8) has fallen into a drain
or ditch. I was just glad that Tiger was back in my arms. We were going back home with it. What a huge
relief!
