Assignment-1: Indian Standard Codes
Assignment-1: Indian Standard Codes
Our motive is to design a mechanism which can clean both the surfaces of window so window is
coming under house features or decorations so we have guilines related to clenroom standard:-
ISO 14644 Part 1 :- purpose Classification is the process of qualifying the cleanroom environment by
the number of particles using a standard method. Determine classification of cleanroom according
to standards e.g. Room x is ISO class y. Distinct from routine environmental monitoring.
Our main purpose is to clean the both surfaces in a effective way so that people feel
comport, enjoying and easy to clean with less effort.
1.Motive:-Our main motive is to make a mechanism such that it can efficiently and
automatically clean the window in more effective way.
2.Material:-Recently the window glasses are made up of Glass,PVC etc we will select that
type of material that will suitably work without damaging the window glass.
3.Design:-The best part of a mechanism or a device is its design which will take more
important part because we have to design our product that way such that it will effective
and attractive so that people will enjoy with it.
4.Comfort:-While working with our product we will design such a way that our product gives
comfotness for holding people while working and weight also factor that we have to
minimize upto optimum level such that it will beneficial for customers.
a.Kitchen-36’’*36”
b.Toillet-24’’*36’’
c.Bathroom-24’’*36’’
d.Living Room-72’’*48’’
e.Bedroom-36’’*48”
we are looking for standard size of the window so accoding to that also we can design our
product for a specific dimension.
6.Safety:-We have to make assure that our product should provide better safety also while
working with it.
7.Assembly:-Our product should be designed in such a way that it will easily assembled or
disassembled while working with it because if will not happen then there should be certain
problem will occur in funcitioning.
D)Claim:- To enable the application of the window-cleaning robot at home, small offices, and shops,
we claimed some chracterstics about the robot :-
1) The robot should be compact in structure, light in weight, and easy to carry.
2) To ensure the safety, there should be no slipping and falling during work.
B)Mechanism Diagram:-
C)Summary:- The objective of this study is to design the concept of a cleaning device and its
operating mechanism to ensure that it performs effective cleaning. To accomplish this, the
limitations of the conventional cleaning devices are examined, and the target windows are set. In
addition, the functions demanded by potential clients are researched, and the technical elements
are defined to implement these. Next, a conceptual design of a cleaning tool is drawn, and the
operating mechanism is defined depending on the method.
D)Claim:- Finally, a comparative analysis to claim our desired product is conducted to identify the
advantages and disadvantages of the two methods:-
i) Conventionally, window cleaning devices were developed to clean the entire façade. For this to
work, the motions of a cleaning device must be taken into account from the building façade design
phase. For example, to ensure a cleaning device can be applied, the windowsills must have no
protruding parts.
ii) In addition, as a cleaning device must move to another floor after finishing cleaning the windows
on one floor, a device that enables the device to move vertically must be embedded at the design
phase.
B)Schematic Diagram:-
C)Summary:- From this we introduces a new small size, light, and inexpensive window cleaning
robot. As compared to other available window cleaning robot, it has the advantage of being
operated by a single electrical motor and system of suctions cups. The single motor is able to
advance the robot body in a preprogrammed swinging pattern on the 2D plane of the window pane
and simultaneously clean the window with the sponges attached to the swinging robot body. It can
be operated in automatic and manual mode. It will provide a safe cleaning of the office or home
windows, especially for high-rise buildings. The test run of the robot has demonstrated the efficiency
of the robot.
D)Claim:-From this we are claiming some features or learing about our product similarisation-
i) This small window climbing robot with pneumatic suction cups should be able to move
autonomously along an outside surface of high-rise building office window with a relatively large
area and meantime clean and wash it.
ii)Being manually attached to the outside surface of the room window the robot will execute and
accomplish the task of window cleaning automatically in a predefined pattern. The sensory system
will help to navigate the robot. It is noted that window cleaning robots are commercially available
but pricey .
iii)The designed robot is lightweight, small size and cheap because it is driven only by one rotary
actuator and system of properly arranged .
A)Introduction:- The first step of our design process was to research already-existing designs with
similar functions. First we looked at the commercial market. Using the internet we found companies
that dealt with cleaning windows on skyscrapers. Klearview Systems’ window washer works by
installing fixed frames on each side of a window, which spray large amounts of water onto the
window in order to clean it.
B)Diagram:-
C)Summary:- The Winrobo window washing robot is an innovative design geared toward helping
the disabled, but also attractive as a method of reducing physical strain for its consumers. The design
is a proof of concept and therefore the actual cleanliness of the window is less of a concern than the
ease of use, and controllability of the final product. On the basis of proving this concept, it is
apparent that Page 48 this design was a complete success and is obviously applicable for the desired
functionality. This design incorporates traditional items and systems (magnets, motors and wheels)
and transforms them into a product unlike anything else available, creating a final product that is
reliable, innovative, and practical.
D)Claim:- i)Firstly, after building the prototype, the device was attached to the window to verify
that it would remain on the window without slipping. When it held, they moved on to more
strenuous tests. Their cleaning material had been previously selected due to its low coefficient of
friction and seeming ease of wiping off dry erase dots.
ii)After a certain tests, they attached several different cleaning surfaces to their prototype to
examine its ease of motion versus ease of cleaning. After testing their original cleaning materials,
various sponges, and paper towels, we settled on the original cleaning material, again due to the
ease with which the robot navigated the window while it was attached , and yet it easily cleaned the
dots off of a glass window.
C)Summary:- i)The present disclosure has been made in an effort to solve the problems and an
objective of the present disclosure is to provide a window cleaning tool that may be conveniently used
by a user and enables smooth movement of a cleaner without an external unit separating and falling
during washing.
ii)Another objective of the present disclosure is to provide a window cleaning tool that enable
reduction of the number of parts and the weight of an entire external unit.
iii)Another objective of the present disclosure is to provide a window cleaning tool that does not injure
the body of a user and is not broken even though attraction of a magnet is strong when it is handled.
D)Claim:- i) A window cleaning tool comprising:-an internal unit comprising an internal unit housing,
an internal unit blade holder disposed rotatably with respect to the internal unit housing, an internal
unit wiper having an internal unit blade fixed to the internal unit blade holder and protruding toward an
inner surface of glass, and a total of two internal unit magnet assemblies respectively disposed at both
sides of the internal unit housing.
ii)Wherein when the internal unit moves up, a front end of the internal unit blade rotates away from the
inner surface of the glass and a front end of the external unit blade rotates away from an outer
surface of the glass,
iii) The window cleaning tool of claim 1, wherein the external unit housing further comprises
rectangular guide rail housings in which the guide rails are formed on both sides facing each other at
a lower portion.
iv) The window cleaning tool of claim 2, wherein the guide rollers comprise a total of four upper guide
rollers which are formed at ends of both facing sides of the casing, and the guide rails comprise two
guide rails which are each inclined up or down on both sides of the external unit housing at the lower
portion in the rectangular guide rail housing.
