• Dopełnienie + bezokolicznik
I heard them argue. (Słyszałam całość ich kłótni, od początku do końca)

• Dopełnienie + -ing
I heard them arguing.(Słyszałam tylko fragment ich kłótni)

• FORGET + to – zapomnieć coś zrobić


He forgot to turn off the radio.

FORGET + -ing - niezapomnienie przeszłego zdarzenia


I’ll never forget seeing the Eiffel Tower for the first time.
• REMEMBER + to – pamiętać coś zrobić
Please, remember to feed the dog.

REMEMBER + -ing – pamiętanie o zdarzeniu z przeszłości


I remember moving away from my parents.

• GO ON + to – skończyć coś robić, przejść do czegoś nowego


He pruned the hedges, then went on to mow the lawn.

GO ON + -ing – kontynuować
