PRESENTE CONTINUO
¿Para qué lo usamos?
- Para describir acciones que están ocurriendo en este momento.
I am talking to my teacher. (Estoy hablando con mi profesor)
- Para describir acciones que están ocurriendo ahora pero no en el momento exacto
en el que estamos hablando.
He is living in La Serena. (Él está viviendo en La Serena)
- Para describir planes futuros que ya están decididas.
I am going to the party tonight. (Voy a ir a la fiesta esta noche)
- Para hablar sobre sentimientos y emociones.
I am feeling tired. (Me siento cansada)
AL VERBO se le agrega –ing en el presente continuo. Por ejemplo: PLAY = PLAYING.
Algunos verbos no pueden llevar la forma –ing ya que no se refieren a acciones, sino que a
estados estáticos. Estos verbos sólo se usan con presente simple.
