ENERGY AUDIT SCOPE OF WORK

Brief Scope of Work:

The following methodology should be adopted to carry out the various activities during
the Energy Audit.

Evaluation Measurement of various parameters (electrical /mechanical) with the help of

calibrated instruments. In some of the cases, if measurement is not possible then the
reading should be taken from control room or local installed panel meters or gauges. Based
on the measurements, the process energy losses should be quantified. After considering
the optimum energy requirement to the process, the best alternatives should be suggested
for efficient utilization of energy resources.

All the site measurement and data collection should be completed within a maximum of
one month time frame.

Feasibility Study:

To minimize various energy losses in the power generation processes, number of

alternatives should be considered on energy/cost basis for feasibility study. Based on your
optimum energy cost requirement, the best alternative should be suggested for efficient
utilization of your process energy. The results of feasibility study should be submitted in
the form of a report along with the recommendations.

Potential Investments and Saving:

The energy saving potentials may be estimated in three categories namely.

• Without investment
• Minor investment
• Major investment

The draft report should be submitted within one month from the date of completing all the
site measurement.

and data collection. After scrutinizing the draft report, the final report will be accepted.
