Question 10

Present points, in your own words, relevant for personal application from the formula of
Krishna consciousness given in Bhagavad-gitä 11.55. Give specific reference to the verse and
Prabhupäda‖s purports in your response.

mat-karma-kṛn mat-paramo
mad-bhaktaḥ saṅga-varjitaḥ
nirvairaḥ sarva-bhūteṣu
yaḥ sa mām eti pāṇḍava
Translation

My dear Arjuna, he who engages in My pure devotional

service, free from the contaminations of fruitive activities
and mental speculation, he who works for Me, who makes Me
the supreme goal of his life, and who is friendly to every
living being – he certainly comes to Me.

Introduction

This verse is the Essence of the Bhagavad Gita, it is very important because Lord
him self saying that he who engages in My pure devotional service certainly comes
to Me. All the devotional service is directly or indirectly indicating to Please the Lord,
we are parts and parcels of the Lord, our position is to serve the Lord or Serve the
servants of the Lord to Go Back to God Head.
Personal Application
Here in Mathuradesh by the mercy of our Shiksha Guru and Gurumaharaj We are
taking bhakthi Vriksha class and we are trying to be a part of Srila Prabhupad
mission, when we started Krishna Consciousness in our life we dont know its
important and what its Goal in our life. It was just for the God Consciousness to get
the mercy of the Lord and believe that Lord will remove all the sins. But i dont know
exactly how to serve the Lord and engage others also to his services. But actually
learning the Bhagavad Gita from the Bhakti Sastri teacher is an eye opener for me.
The very way I have to look at each sloka has been completely changed after this.
Especially this verse is understand my self that how to success in once life. Srila
Prabhupada explains in porport “The Bhagavad-gītā is meant to show how one can
understand his spiritual existence and his eternal relationship with the supreme
spiritual personality and to teach one how to go back home, back to Godhead “
There are nine process of Devotional service out of Nine Srila Prabhupad is
explaining that if a person doing the one point of devotional services in perfect way
he can attain his Goal.
Till now i was working for my sense enjoyment and wish to claim that we are into
Krishna Consciousness. But now i realise that what ever we do we can offer to
Krishna and it become Krishna Karma. When i started to do so, the changes is I dont
have much tension in the work and not expecting any result out of it. Before we think
it is material work and what ever the small seva is there that is Spiritual life. Now i
understand there is different is my attitude towards a particular karma, in Spiritual life
as well as Material Life. So how do I do transfer my energy entirely to Krishna
Conscious activities? As stated in Bhakti Rasamrta Sindhu (1.2.255)
Anāsaktas yaviṣayān
yathārham upayuñjataḥ
nirbandhaḥ kṛṣṇa-sambandhe
yuktaṁ vairāgyam ucyate
So when i do any work my attitude is change, what ever do, do it for Krishna. Am
doing to please Krishna, thinking always to please our Shiksha Gurus and
Gurumaharaj and Krishna. When we water in Tulasi Plant now Tulasi growing is a
pleasure as my consciousness is I am working for Krishna.
Mad paramah which is to consider the association of Krishna in His supreme abode
to be highest perfection of life. Before I was working to be a God Consciousness
thinking that God is for us to help us to remove our all sins and gives us better
material features. Now I am trying to do these devotional service as a service to
Krishna.As explaind in the verse in Bhakti rasamrta Sindhu(1.1.11) as follows
anyābhilāṣitā-śūnyaṁ
jñāna-karmādy-anāvṛtam
ānukūlyena kṛṣṇānu-
śīlanaṁ bhaktir uttamā

SangaVarjitah,- Now we are in Mathuradesh only because of Association of

Devotees and Guru Maharaj's causeless Mercy. How ever we associate mostly they
are devotees or I used to deal with Karmis also but i take all are Parts and parcels of
the Lord. From the morning we do chanting in Zoom and reading the books in online,
so in a day we deal mostly with the devotees.
Nirvairah : A devotee is friendly to everyone.Srila Prabhupada says “A devotee
situated in Kṛṣṇa consciousness knows that only devotional service to Kṛṣṇa can
relieve a person from all the problems of life”. These actions of wonderful devotional
service are so enlivening that having experienced it myself now as Srila Prabhupada
says the highest benefit to human society is to relieve one’s neighbour from all
material problems. Now I am taking theses points very Seriously and concentrating
more in my Preaching activity.
Concluding- these realisations, I would like to add that this verse I should keep it in
my heart to constantly remember that the supreme goal of my life is Krishna, to try to
do consistently devotional service with enthusiasm and determination.
