Chapter 1

INTRODUCTION

Background of the Study

Paper bending is a common task in the manufacturing of various paper products such

as envelopes, boxes, and cards. Traditional methods of paper bending are time-consuming

and require a high level of skill. In this thesis, we propose to design and develop an

automated paper bending machine that can efficiently and accurately bend paper products.

The proposed machine will be designed to automate the paper bending process, improve the

quality of paper products, and reduce production time and costs.

Objectives of the Study

1. To design an automated paper bending machine

2. To evaluate the efficiency and accuracy of the machine in bending paper products

3. To compare the performance of the machine with traditional paper bending methods

4. To propose recommendations for the implementation and maintenance of the machine in

paper manufacturing industries

Example:

The general objective of the study is to help people in the TUP campus especially its

students.

Specifically, the study aims to:

1. Design a system with the following features:

a. A three-dimensional (3D) animated low cost paper vending machine;

b. Provide different kinds of paper that they need;

And

c. Two way payment

Scope and Limitations/Delimitations of the Study

This study will be given and implemented to the TUP facility and it aims to help not

just the students but also everyone who wants to use automated Low-Cost Paper Bending

Machine. This study seeks to provide low cost paper for everyone who needs a paper for

them to stay in the campus and save so much time.
