The car suspension system is a part that must work continuously, even when the car is

stopped, the mechanisms must still work until they are replaced if they fail. Especially in
Vietnam, when the road facilities are not good, the repair of the suspension system is having
a high frequency.
When the car's suspension system fails, the car will appear characteristic symptoms and
sounds. As long as you pay attention, it is easy to recognize and soon come up with a timely
solution.

The process of dismantling the independent suspension system

Prepare tools and work place
- Disassembly tool kit
- Lifting jack, tire insert rack.
- Spring pressing rack
Clean the outside of the suspension and bridge assemblies
- Use high-pressure water pump and spray water to clean the dirt outside the chassis
car.
- Use air pump and blow compressed air to clean dirt and water on the outside of the system
assembly
suspension system
Remove the wheel
- Remove the relevant parts (brake hose, speed sensor wire
ABS,...)
- Jacking for the chassis of the vehicle and the bridge
- Remove the wheel
Removal procedure
- Remove the bridge pin and the stand
- Install the spring press bracket
- Remove springs and shock absorbers
- Remove the spring press bracket
- Remove the connecting rods
- Remove the stabilizer bar
Clean and check details
Clean the details
* Installation procedure
Opposite the dismantling process (after repairing and replacing damaged parts)
Notes
- Safely jacking and inserting tires when working under the vehicle.
- Lubricate the components and fill the damping oil of the right type and level
determined
- Replace parts according to periodic maintenance
Independent suspension maintenance and repair
Damage to components in the independent suspension system
* Rotating pin, bridge pin and silver
Damage and inspection
- Damage to pins and bearings: cracking of pins and pins, wear of silver, wear of ball joints
(roller) of the suspension rods (cylindrical roller).
- Check: Use a pan and dial gauge to measure the wear of the silver and the pin (wear
not larger than 0.2 mm), use a magnifying glass to examine the cracks.
Repair
- Pins and bearings worn beyond the allowable limit can be welded and reprocessed
original formula and replace with new or replacement silver.
* Suspension rods and stabilizer bars
Damage and inspection
- Damage to bars and stabilizers: bends, cracks, and wear of dowel mounting holes.
- Check: Use a caliper to measure the wear of the pin hole against the technical standard
art. Use a magnifying glass to observe the cracks on the outside of the tweezers and the
optics
tweezers, tweezers.
Repair
- The rods and tie rods (guide bars) worn on the pin hole can be welded, reamed
re-size or close the shirt, bend can be straightened, cracked can be welded and reinforced or
Replace if rusty.
- The rubber of the stabilizer bars and tie rods (guide bars) are worn out
then replace new.
Shock absorbers and springs
Damage and inspection
- Damping damage: wear of piston, cylinder and rubber gaskets, broken head
taste.
- Spring damage: cracked or broken.
- Check: Use pan me, dial gauge to measure the wear of piston, cylinder and
Use a magnifying glass to check for cracks in the springs, use a height ruler
spring to compare with the sample spring.
Repair
- Retractable bent damper piston rod. Worn and scratched can be restored
return.
- Valves of oil leak dampers reduce the effect can be used with fine sanding
Sealed when repairing, refueling must be of the correct type.
- Body wear damping plunger can be applied, re-machined. If the cylinder is worn out,

position.
- If the seals are worn, aging (bottles) lose their sealing effect, replace them
new).
- Tired springs can be restored, but usually replaced. Springs are
cracked or broken, replace with new.
Repair damper:
* Piston shaft, plunger, connectors and guide bush
Damage and inspection
- Damage to the piston shaft, connectors and guide bearings: shaft cracking, wear of the
shafts
connector and silver.
- Check: Use a pan and dial gauge to measure the curvature of the shaft and the wear of the
shaft
connector and silver, use a magnifying glass to check for cracks and wear of the high seals
su.
Repair
- Curved shaft can be bent, silver and worn connectors are beyond the limit for
It is possible to weld and process to the original size or replace it.
- Worn piston and worn rubber seal need to replace the whole assembly.
Cylinders and valve assemblies
Damage and inspection
- Damage to cylinders and valve assemblies: wear, cracked cylinders and worn valves.
- Check: Use a gauge to measure the wear of the cylinder hole against the technical standard
art. Use a magnifying glass to look for cracks in the cylinders and valves.
Repair
- Cylinders and worn valves have been replaced.
Disassemble the shock absorber
- Install the spring press bracket
- Remove the cap nuts (or connectors)
- Remove the gasket and piston shaft
- Remove the cylinder
- Remove the spring press bracket
- Remove the valve assemblies
