they needed weapons and ammo immediately. It was clear that the Katipunan's earliest engagements
were tactical missteps.

However, Emilio Aguinaldo and his gang of revolutionaries were able to hold off the Spanish take control
over several cities, so Bonifacio made an effort to enlist Aguinaldo into the organization.

The Magdiwang and Magdalo factions of the Katipunan met on March 22, 1897, for the Tejeros
Convention (also known as Tejeros Assembly or Tejeros Congress), after conflict split the rebels into the
Magdiwang (under Bonifacio) and Magdalo (under Aguinaldo).

When they encountered the Spanish weaponry, the Katipuneros, however, were severely defeated. They
came to understand how much they required weapons and ammo. The Katipunan's earliest
engagements were tactical errors, that much was clear.

However, Bonifacio made an effort to enlist Emilio Aguinaldo as a member of the organization after
learning that Aguinaldo's party of revolutionaries had been successful in fending off the Spanish and
gaining control over several towns.

A meeting between the Magdiwang and Magdalo factions of the Katipunan was held on March 22, 1897,
as a result of conflict that had split the rebels into the Magdiwang (led by Bonifacio) and Magdalo (led by
Aguinaldo) groups. This meeting is known as the Tejeros Convention (also known as Tejeros Assembly or
Tejeros Congress).
