GATE 2024: The authorities are expected to release the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)
2024 notification in August. The GATE 2024 exam will be conducted in February for 29 papers.
Candidates will be able to register online for GATE exam 2024 in online mode only. Only those
candidates who will fill the GATE 2024 registration form before the deadline will be allowed to
download IIT GATE admit card 2024.

The GATE 2024 notification will include detailed information about the GATE application form,
eligibility criteria, exam pattern and more. Candidates will have to use the GATE GOAPS 2024 portal

GATE 2024 Eligibility Criteria

There are certain conditions and requirements that students planning to appear for the IIT GATE
2024 exam must meet. The authorities will release the GATE eligibility criteria 2024 along with the
official notification.

• A candidate who is currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree
program OR has already completed any government approved degree program in Engineering/
Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts is eligible for appearing in the GATE 2024
exam.

• Candidates who have obtained/are pursuing their qualifying degree from countries other than
India: Must be currently in the 3rd or higher years or completed their Bachelor’s degree (duration:
at least 3 years) in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Arts/ Commerce.

GATE 2024 Application Form

Candidates will be able to fill the application form of GATE 2024 in online mode only. While filling out
the GATE 2024 registration form, aspirants should ensure that the name of the candidate in the GATE
application form 2024 must exactly be the same as that in the valid photo ID, which the candidate
must produce in original while appearing for GATE 2024 examination at the centre.

Steps to fill GATE registration form 2024

• The first step is the registration of IIT GATE 2024. Candidates have to register for the GATE exam
2024 through the GOAPS portal. The GATE 2024 registration will include details like Candidate’s
first, middle name and surname, Valid email ID, Country of residence, Mobile number, Password.
After adding the details, candidates have to enter the OTP received on the mobile number and
registered Email ID. A unique enrollment ID will be allotted to the successfully registered
candidates.

• Once registered, candidates have to complete the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2024
application form with details like Personal details, Academic details, communication details, paper
appearing for, exam centre details, photo ID proof, Signature and category certificate (for reserved
categories).
• Next, upload scanned images of photo, signature and other documents as per the specification.

• Finally, candidates have to pay the GATE application fee in online mode.

GATE 2024 Application Form Correction

Soon after the GATE 2024 application form filling process is over, the authorities will open the
correction window. The GATE application form correction 2024 will allow candidates to edit the
details entered incorrectly while filling out the forms. However, students should note that they will
not be allowed to edit every detail. Moreover, to edit the allowed details, candidates will have to pay
the required fee.

GATE 2024 Question Paper

A few days after the entrance exam, the authorities will release the GATE question paper pdf 2024 at
the official website. The GATE 2024 question paper will be available for download without any login
credentials.

GATE 2024 Answer Key

The authorities will release GATE answer keys 2024 in online mode at the official website. First, the
provisional GATE 2024 answer key will be released, which will be open for challenges. candidates will
be able to challenge the GATE answer key 2024 for a specific period while providing proof for it. After
considering all the challenges, the final GATE answer key will be released by the authorities. IIT
Kanpur will prepare GATE 2024 results based on the final answer key.

How to download GATE answer key 2024?

• Click on the ‘answer key’ link.

• The GATE question papers and answer keys will be displayed on the screen.

• Download the answer key and corresponding questions paper. It will be downloaded in PDF
format only.

GATE 2024 Result

The authorities will declare the GATE exam result 2024 online. Candidates will have to login at GATE
GOAPS portal using their enrolment ID/ email and password. The steps to download the result of
GATE exam 2024 are given below:
How to check GATE 2024 result?

• Visit the GATE GOAPS 2024 portal and log in.

• To login, enter the GATE enrollment ID or email address and password.

• Click on the ‘result’ tab.

• GATE 2024 result shall appear on the screen.

• Candidates may check details and save the GATE result for future reference.

GATE 2024 Cutoff

Along with the declaration of GATE 2024 result, the authorities will also release the subject-wise
cutoff. Only those candidates who will meet the cutoff will be declared qualified. The GATE cutoff
2024 is yet to be released. In the meantime, candidates can check previous year’s GATE cutoff.

GATE 2024 Counselling

Candidates who will be declared qualified will have to use GATE COAP and CCMT portals for
counselling purposes. The GATE counselling and admission process for IITs are done through the
Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP), while, for admissions into NITs, IIEST Shibpur, and IIITs &
GFTIs, Centralised Counselling for M.Tech. (CCMT) is conducted.
