Ministry Innovations

Module 7 BOC School of Leadership

1. This statement by Johnstone and Mandryk is a sad observation of the

generational problems we have in this country. “The great potential of the

Philippines has not yet been realized despite being rich in natural resources and

having a well-educated population. Failure by successive governments to deal

with serious economic and social issues have held back development, and kept

half the population in poverty.” (Operation World 21st Edition Johnstone &

Mandryk p. 522)

* What does it mean for us to reach our great potential as a nation?

--Ibig sabihin ang bansang ito ay punong-puno nang mahuhusay na Pilipino.

* What do you think are the reasons behind the successive failure of our

governments?

-- Failure by succesive government to deal with serious economic and social

issues have held back development, and kept half the population in poverty.

*How can the PNP and the church meaningfully work together and deal with the

social problems we have in our society?

-- May isang layunin ang church at PNP na buoin ang bansang ito na may takot

sa Diyos at paglingkuran siya sa pamamagitan ng pagseserbisyo sa mamamayan.

* We have so many good economic policies in this country. How can implement

those policies and not be corrupted along the way?

-- Kailangan ang magpapatupad ng mga pulisiyang ito ay matuwid at may takot

sa Diyos, maging ang mga taong nakapalibot sa kanya.

2. What are your greatest hopes and dreams for the PNP and AFP? What does it

mean for us to eliminate the obstacles as we pursue these dreams?

-- My greatest hope and dreams for the PNP is for them to know Christ; obstacles

are always there but we need to be persistent in sharing God’s word and let the

Lord works in them.

3. Can the PNP and AFP survive without the office of the chaplain? What do you

think is the most ideal role of the chaplain’s office in building a better and

dynamic organization?

-- Yes, they can survive, but they are more susceptible to do wrong, because there

are no chaplain to remind them and teach about God’s morality.

4. How can we promote a God-centered and family-based PNP as lifestyle than a

mere program?

-- By setting as a good example, and encourage them to attend to a local church

where they can know and love God more as a family.

5. Why is it critical that we have to challenge the status quo?

-- So that the PNP organization would have a real change.

6. Based on Christ’s “Parable of Wheat and Tares,” good and evil will grow

together. How can we best protect the good officers against the evil forces?

-- Taniman ng Salita ng Diyos at ipanalangin ang butong ito ay tumubo at

lumago sa kanila.
