She Walks In Beauty

‘She Walks in Beauty’ is a poem written by Lord Byron. The poem commends
female excellence. The artist depicts a lady who is striking and beautiful. The
poem is thought to be an adoration poem.
The poem follows a regular rhyme scheme of ábab’ throughout.
The language used in poem is rich and complex, which gives the woman a very
mystical quality.
The figures of speech used in poem are Alliteration, Antithesis, Exclamation,
Metaphor, Personification etc.
The message the poet is trying to convey is that no one can be beautiful on the
outside only when one feels beautiful on the inside.
The central idea of the poem is that it is largely about the poet trying to capture the
women’s paradoxical beauty which combines the best of dark and bright.
I like this poem because in my opinion, the poem is full of class and elegance. The
poet’s depiction of the woman’s attractiveness and his expression of the woman’s
outer beauty create a powerful impact on the reader’s minds thus making them
understand the absolute meaning of being beautiful.
