A. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND COURSE INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES (CD-CILOs/
Outcomes)
The course covers the first part of the On-the-Job Training. This course is to let the students apply their knowledge through the use of
current techniques, skills, tools and practices necessary (6.0.7) for their on-the-job training and learn how to work in the different establishment
where they can apply the knowledge that they have learned from their different computer subject and be updated in today’s web environment by
understanding the best practices and standards and their applications (6.0.2). The course provides an introduction toward their On-the Job
Training, focusing on the fundamental concepts surrounding the technology which they will be working with in the different offices and
establishment where they will be assigned.

The internship in IT and CS is an opportunity given to students to be placed in a work context. The internship is designed to cover a wide
spectrum of curricular approaches and thus connect theory, taught in the classroom. Furthermore, the internship is designed to encourage
reflective learning, as students evaluate theories and concepts learned in class through the lens of their professional experience in the field. The
internship is in essence the students’ first step to a professional career in IT.

At the end of the course, the learners are to:

Technology (ICT) industry through a critical reflection on the work-based learning internship experience. (2.1.1.1)
 Formulate a personal development plan based on a critical self-assessment of personal and professional skills and competences,
such as timeliness, ability to complete assignments with a minimum of supervision, team spirit, service attitude and initiative
demonstrated during an internship-placement in Information technology (5.0.3.1).
 Apply vocationally relevant concepts associated with the development of IT projects in a professional setting (6.0.1.2.1)
 Integrate IT-based solutions into the user environment effectively (6.0.6.1.1)

All these are achieved through (4.2.1.1) excellent instruction, relevant and responsive research and/ or extension services, and quality-

responsive.
