Gospel, Luke 24:13-35

Reflection:

“Disciples did not recognize Jesus”

Jesus is our savior. He is doing the saving; He will do the worrying and the planning for us because He is
in charge. Despite of so much uncertainty and despair, we could not care less that’s why Jesus cried and
tell us how foolish and slow of our heart. But Jesus approaches us and chooses to walk with us every
single day. And though in our minds we would like to be saved, we are constantly blinded by our
expectations of how we are to be saved. With our faith our hearts were open to God’s possibilities that
Jesus died so that He may be risen. We often find ourselves feeling like Jesus is not listening, like Jesus is
not with us. So we worry, our doubt grows and forget about the possibilities of our faith. Remember
that when we pray to God, we are not merely asking to show up and do what is asked. We are seeking
amazing grace from God.
