Management team of Agoda’s Partner Services specializes in strategic account management. We
serve as consultants, offering strategic advice on how best to excel on Agoda’s commercial
platform. We are direct contributors to what makes Agoda one of the market leaders because we
understand accommodation needs and offer innovative solutions. From Bangkok to New York
and beyond, our team has footprints in over 50 locations around the world. With the help of
industry-leading technology, we work and collaborate globally to bring together the best ideas
from diverse perspectives. The Market Management team invests in long-term relationships that
spans borders and cultures and results in incredible value for Agoda, our partners, and our
customers.

The Opportunity:

You will be working alongside business stakeholders on operational innovations and projects that
facilitate the availability of actionable data to drive strategic direction. You will be integral in the
design and implementation of reliable and actionable business intelligence & automation
solutions that enable improved efficiency and accuracy within the Partner Services Department.
In this role, you’ll get to:

 Identify and implement initiatives that drive operational efficiencies


 Design analytics tools and resources aiding process enablement and discovery of process
risks
 Communicate insights to management
 Build business cases and get buy-in from stakeholders
 Lead project delivery
 Design and create data tools to automate manual processes
 Work directly with your stakeholders to gather business requirements
 Make data easily accessible for users through dashboards and report automation
 Drive self-service business intelligence by empowering users to adopt existing BI tools
(Tableau, Metabase)
 Capitalize on data by transforming it into business insights which will contribute to
making business decisions
 Optimize the flow of report generation

What you’ll need to succeed:

Qualifications:

 Working experience in Business Intelligence or Analytics roles


 Strong communication skills with high proficiency in Thai & English
 Strong SQL proficiency
 Adept in data analysis, deriving insights and MIS reporting
 Working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI etc.

Skills:

 You are a highly disciplined, proactive, innovative, and naturally inquisitive person.
 You are driven by achieving measurable, impactful results.
 You are able to prioritize your work based on business impact
 Ability to work well independently or as part of a team
It’s great if you have:

 A degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science or Data Science


 Experience in managing process transformations/operational excellence programs
 Experience in tech, eCommerce, consultancy
 Working knowledge of statistical computer languages to perform advanced analytics and
automation (Python, R)

In this role you’ll get to

As a Data Analyst in the PD Analytics team, you will be using data and modeling
techniques to identify opportunities and build models and tools to improve
efficiency and effectiveness for Agoda’s supply team.

Key activities involved include but not limit to:

 Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the


presentation of data to identify opportunities for business improvements and
support your recommendations
 Own end-to-end project or roll out new experiments to validate in-market
impact of an initiative within Partner Development
 Build dashboards, identify new and track key metrics to closely monitor team’s
performance and identify quick and long term opportunities for
improvements
 Work closely with cross-functional teams of analysts, regional team leads,
product managers and business owners to drive changes based on
opportunities identified
 Support global Partner Development related initiatives, including
experimentation infrastructure-building and methodology standardization

What You’ll Need To Succeed

 Bachelor’s degree in science, computer science, statistics, economics,


mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline
 3-6 years experience working in a business analysis, data analysis, reporting or
business strategy role
 Excellent problem-solving skills including the ability to analyze and resolve
complex problems using data
 Team player with strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and stakeholder
management skills
 Coding skills for analytics and data manipulation (SQL, R, Python, Pandas,
Scala)
 Data visualization tool experience such as with Tableau or your weapon of
choice
 Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and rapidly changing
environment
 Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written in English), with
proven ability to convey complex messages clearly and with conviction

The Supply, Operations, Analytics and Programs (SOAP) team is a fast growing and
dynamic team within Partner Services department of Agoda. The team is responsible
for developing and scaling a range of marketing solutions for accommodation
partners focusing on growth, visibility, conversion, pricing recommendations and
financial products, as well as advertising and display marketing solutions for
businesses and travel organizations.
The team scope includes strategic planning, business development and sales
operations, project management, contracting operations, risk assessment and
collections operations, product development work and data analytics. Team
members closely work with multiple internal stakeholders in product and tech,
finance and legal, marketing and partner services in our HQ as well as in multiple
offices around the world.

The Opportunity:

The role sits within the Supply Analytics team under SOAP team of Partner Services,
where new business ideas, and partnership types are incubated and scaled. As an
Analyst/Senior Analyst at Agoda you will use your data skills and business mindset to
make a difference in our fast-growing global business across our top hotel partners.
This role will be involved in strategic projects and work closely with commercial
owners and business stakeholders, using data to identify and translate business
needs and opportunities into actionable initiatives.

In this Role, you’ll get to:

 Translate internal briefs into analytical projects (to include refining the initial
brief and asking the ‘right questions’, working through potential hypotheses
and storyboarding the output)
 Use and analyze data from multiple large-scale data warehouses and present
statistically strong analysis to a wide range of business stakeholders
 Proactively identify opportunities for growth within supply and the wider
business
 Drive new analytical initiatives and projects aimed at improving organizational
efficiency and shaping Agoda supply
 Identify, support, and lead projects aimed at scaling up the way the Supply
organization leverages on data, insights, and intelligence
 Automate manual operational processes and present back on time savings
gained through modernization of business operations

What you’ll Need to Succeed:


 2-6 years of experience in analytics/data science/insights/strategy
 Bachelor’s degree ideally in a business or quantitative subject (e.g. computer
science, mathematics, engineering, science, economics or finance)
 Expert domain of data analysis and data visualization tools and software such
as Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python, R, or similar
 Experience in conducting A/B testing experimentation
 A good understanding of statistical modelling knowledge or any machine
learning technique knowledge is a plus (regression, logistic regression,
random forest, etc.)
 Good stakeholder management experience. Comfortable presenting to senior
leadership and C-suite
 Strong experience in finding data insights and provide business
recommendation to the business
 A hacker’s mindset – the ability to build simple but clever and elegant
solutions to new problems within significant resource, operational and time
constraints through deep understanding of the business, creative problem
solving, and a wide range of expertise in data, analytics, automation,
programming, and prototyping
 Excellent communicator with superior written, verbal, presentation and
interpersonal communication skills
 Data driven in both decision making and performance measurement
 Extreme comfort in ambiguous, fast-paced environment
 Ability to multi-task, prioritize and coordinate resources
 Experience utilizing Python for Automation
 Knowledge of Pandas and other associated analytical packages
 An advanced level of SQL including parallel computation approaches (i.e.
Spark)
 Tableau/other BI visualization experience

It’s Great if you Have:

 MBA or Masters in a quantitative subject (e.g. computer science, mathematics,


engineering, science, economics or finance)
 Program management certifications (e.g. PMI, PRINCE2) to compliment your
program management experience
 Asian market experience
 Travel industry / e-commerce / tech / consulting experience
