3. PVC waterstops shall be furnished in the longest

possible lengths. Field splices shall be made in

D. In case of slab joints care must be taken to ensure that water

stop is retained in the horizontal plane and that adequate

compaction of concrete takes place below the web of the

waterstop in order to avoid "honey combing". Lifting of

waterstop during compaction to release entrapped air will

assist in forming dense compacted concrete.

E. In case of wall joints care must be taken to ensure that the

waterstop does not fold over under the weight of poured

folding-over, the waterstop may be securely wired to the
reinforcing steel using large secura clips fastened over the end
bulbs.

3.02 Swelling Type Waterstops

A. Swelling type waterstops shall be provided where indicated, a
