Work Immersion Modules


S. Y. 2022 -2023

I. INTRODUCTION
II.
Work Immersion is a program for Senior High School learners which involves hands-on
experience or work simulation relevant to their track, and is the course requirements for graduation.
A Senior High School Learners has to undergo Work Immersion in a business organization or
establishment with work requirements related to the specialization. Through Work Immersion, the
learners are exposed to an are familiarized with the work- related environment related to their field
of specialization. STSH identify different institutions/companies as partner institution to provide
immersion/OJT opportunities and venues for students learning at the local level, and find linkages
with industry partners for greater support in enhancing skills and training to gain valuable experience.
DepEd Order No. 35 s. 2017.

III. Objectives of the Work Immersion Program:


Specifically, the learners are able:
1. To appreciate the importance and application of the principles and theories learned in school
2. To Enhance their technical knowledge and skills
3. To Enrich their skills in communications and human relations
4. To Develop good work habits, attitudes, appreciation, and respect for work.

IV. PRE-IMMERSION
Introduction

Before we immerse into the work place we will first understand the immersion proper
work ethics, work place safety, confidentiality, and effective conflict resolution and teamwork skills,
as agreed in the DepEd Order no. 30 s. 2017. Also, we need to hone our skills in writing a resume,
filling of application forms, and complying requirements.

Objective: Understanding Work immersion

Learning Target: Appreciating the importance of credentials by;

1. Attends Pre-Immersion Orientation


2. Secure clearances
3. Writing resume
4. Filling out application letter forms
5. Attend Pre-Mock Interview and Job interview.
Learners Activity:

1. Attends the pre-Immersion Orientation


2. As one to join the workforce in the future, you will need to do, prepare and secure the
following
 Resume
 Essay on how to conduct oneself inside the company establishment during the immersion
period.
 Application Letter
 Clearance documents such as:
a. Medical Certificate
b. Barangay Clearance
c. Police Clearance
d. Mayors Clearance (if needed)
e. NBI Clearance (if needed)
You will also prepare and accomplish own portfolio and update it from time to time because
at the end of the week/work immersion you will need to present/submit this portfolio. Make sure to
attach needed documents, answer reflection leaf and paste pictures. Happy working.

ACTIVITY 1- THE WORKER

ECHOES AND PONDER

Work is on your way. Are you prepared to work? Do you have the potential, character,
talents, and skills to take up the vigor of being a worker? What should you possess to become a good
worker? How will you prepare for work immersion?

Learning Target: Write a composition narrative.


Direction: Make a composition about yourself on how to be a good worker, with a minimum of 250

1. Give the process and fees required for a Barangay clearance, medical certificate, and police
clearance.
2. Steps in securing barangay clearance, medical certificate and police clearance.

ACTIVITY 6– PRE-JOB INTREVIEW

A job interview is an interview consisting of a conversation between a job applicant a


representative of an employer which is conducted to assess whether the applicant should be hired.
How you answer questions during job interview can have a big impact on you being hired or accepted
as a work immerse/OJT. Jot down questions that you have come across during your first dialogue with
partner-industry work supervisor or head of office you will be assigned.

II. IMMERSION PROPER

Objective:
1. Appreciating management process by observing, identifying and describing the following:
 Nature of the business
 Description of the products/services
 Target clientele
 Organizational structures
 Company rules and regulations

Dear learners you are now nearing your immersion/OJT proper, before the immersion proper
please ensure that you have a signed parents permit/consent and kindly attach with your
documents.

ACTIVITY 10 – ATTACH PARENTS CONSENT, WAIVER

Parent’s Consent Form and Waiver

A parent’s consent form is a document signed by parents or legal guardian that grants
permission for a learner to undergo Work immersion/OJT/Work Immersion.

ACTIVITY 11 – PROFILE of the COMPANY/ESTABLISHMENT

Sample Company Profile

Owner Stich served as a pioneer of cultural gentrification when she opened the café nearly a
decade ago. Her father established the family’s business in America about 30 years ago. Stich runs the
café with her 2 daughters. The café has 10 employees and seats 50 in its 60 meters location Menu
offers freshly baked pastries and desserts, homemade pastas, breakfast, salads and various gourmet
main courses like the famed Boullabaise dish.
