    An ultrasound was performed on 53-year-old Grace Kerubo who was referred for evaluation of neck swelling. The ultrasound revealed that both lobes of the thyroid gland were enlarged and contained multiple nodules, with the largest on the right measuring 2.83 x 1.80 x 1.40 cm and containing two nodules of 0.92 x 0.73 cm and 0.82 x 0.58 cm. Similarly, the left lobe's largest nodule was 2.10 x 1.16 cm. Color Doppler showed the nodules were hypervascular. The conclusion was of bilateral multinodular goiter and fine needle biopsy was highly recommended.

    INDICATION: HX OF NECK SWELLING.

    ULTRA SOUND REPORT

    THYROID ULTASOUND
    Right Lobe Appeared enlarged measuring 2.83 x 1.80 x 1.40 cm. It contains multiple nodules
    two of such nodules measuring 0.92 by 0.73 and 0.82 by 0.58 cm. It appears to be hyper
    vascular on Color Doppler interrogation.
    Left Lobe: Appeared relatively enlarged 2.88 x 1.74 x 1.73 cm. It contains multiple nodule in its
    parenchyma, two of such nodules measures 2.10 x 1.16 cm and 1.03 by 0.72 cm. It appears
    hyper vascular on Color Doppler interrogation.
    The Isthmus Appeared average in size showing normal homogenous parenchyma, No focal
    nodule can be detected.
    Normal Sonographic features of the great vessels of the neck.
    No evidences of enlarged lymph nodes are seen.

    CONCLUSION:
    Multiple thyroid nodules DDX. Bilateral Multinodular Goiter. Further fine needle biopsy
    is recommended highly
