Internship Program Plan

Intern: Tan, Bryan Ray T.

As a global provider of manpower, Klaveness Maritime Agency, Inc (KMA) aims to

provide world- class service to attract, develop and retain sea-based crew for our customers.
Their close ties with Norwegian culture since we started operation in 1984 taught them to
value transparency, high level of integrity, trust and honesty in all that they do. They believe
that investing in people is key to operating a sustainable and stable business. They continue
to partner with their principals to actively sponsor graduates from maritime schools and
institutions throughout the country through cadetship and manpower development programs.
They help qualified skilled individuals referred by trusted crew and colleagues by employing
them in entry level rating and catering positions in our manned vessels.

Together with their principals, they recognize that family-oriented programs and activities
contribute positively to their relations with crew, their families and communities. Hence, they
continue to sponsor crew wives’ programs, participate in fund-raising activities and support
initiatives of civic and non-profit organizations.

This practical training gives the student much higher confidence and competence in
the field of work than an education that stays completely in the classroom. The intern's work
should ideally be overseen by his supervisor. Students who take part in the program can
develop their technical skills while also learning and practicing professional skills like
teamwork, effective communication, networking,awareness of business practices, leadership,
and critical thinking.

For greater exposure to learn about various plan layouts and how they will manage to assess the
problem, the students will be assigned to the main office of Klaveness Maritime Agency, Inc.
throughout their 320- hour internship or on-the-job training.
