This Method Statement is to give instructions regarding the unloading, Installation &
PURPOSE:
Testing of Transformer at the Project Site.

Welding Machine, Testing equipment’s.
TOOLS:
MAN POWER Engineers, Electricians, Skilled / Semi-skilled Workers, Helpers.

Quality Formats as required for Installation, Testing & Commissioning., and
DOCUMENTS:
O&M manuals.

 At the time of installation, move the
transformer carefully with a crane to the
identified location for installation.
 Take adequate care to ensure that
transformer is not damaged during
movement and also ensure safety of the
personnel handling the transformer.

2 Project Engineer / Installation SHIFTING OF TRANSFORMER

 Take necessary permits from the competent
authority to install the transformer
 Install the transformer as required on the
plinth at the position indicated in the
drawing with the help of a crane and
accessories as required.
 Align the position of transformer.

 After the installation of transformer
Quality Termination /
Supervisor Testing connect the outgoing Panel cable on
transformer.
 Connect the Body Earth and Neutral Earth
Strips.
 Conduct the simulated site tests and Record
the readings in the Test Formats and get the
Approval of the concerned Engineers
 Quality Formats for Installation, Testing
