Learning Module No. 1

Content Standards:
The learners demonstrate understanding of the self as a person created
unique in the image and likeness of God as well as one’s likes, interests,
potentials, emotions, strengths, and weaknesses.

Performance Standards:
The learners perform ways of valuing life as the most precious gift from
God to us and thanking God for the gift of life through a prayer.

Formation Standards:
The learners be grateful for the gift of self as a creation of God.
Learning Objectives:
Guided by these standards, you will explore more on the following
learning targets which will tell you the specific skills and knowledge you
need to master for the entire week.
Targets:
1. Name one’s special characteristics showing that they are a unique
creation of God, in His own image and likeness.
2. List down their likes, interests, potentials, emotions, strengths and
weaknesses

3. Show ways of valuing life as the most precious gift received from
God.
4. Do good deeds as a way of thanking God for creating him/her as a
unique individual in His own image and likeness

Good day everyone! New beginning, new learning. Our life comes from
God. We thank God for giving us life. Together, let us pray our opening
prayer.

Opening Prayer

Dear God,
Thank You for the beautiful world around me, thank you for making
me and loving me. Amen.

God Made Us

Then God said: “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. Let
them have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and
the cattle, and all over the wild animals and all creatures that crawl
on the ground.”

Genesis 1: 26-28
Dominion- the power to rule or take control

 God freely creates and sustains everything out of pure love to share
His own divine life. All created things are important to Him.

To recall, what happened on the sixth day? God created man and
woman in His own image and likeness and said “Very Good!”.

In sharing the breath of God, we become living creatures. Each of us

can say, “I am created by God in His image so that I can take care of His
creation and develop my skills and talents. When we take care of
ourselves, we continue God’s creative activity. God continues to sustain
His creations through the goodness of people.

Draw a line to connect the picture with the word which tell that you are
created unique in the image and likeness of God.

I can throw garbage
