15. (a) A copper wire has a diameter of 0.5 mm and resistivity of 1.6 x 10–8 Ω m. What will
be the length of this wire to make its resistance 10 Ω ? How much does the resistance
change if the diameter is doubled?
(b) An electric lamp, whose resistance is 20 Ω, and a conductor of 4 Ω resistance are
connected in series to a 6 V battery. Calculate (a) the total resistance of the circuit, (b)
the current through the circuit, and (c) the potential difference across the lamp and
conductor.
